Sometimes a client’s journey stays with you long after they leave your treatment room 💛 That's exactly what happened in March of this year, when this fabulous lady walked into my reflexology room. I'll be honest, I was heartbroken for her and couldn't stop thinking about all she'd been through but I knew she'd be ok.
This lady had been through so much, the waiting, the disappointment, the countless pregnancy tests, and the emotional and physical strain of fertility treatment. Seeing the photographs of tests was heartbreaking. Each one represented hope, fear and unbelievable courage.
But she kept going and she finally received the positive test she had dreamed of her precious little miracle. I feel incredibly grateful to have supported her with reflexology during the last few months, providing a calm, nurturing space where she could pause, breathe and feel cared for.
Reflexology cannot guarantee pregnancy or replace medical fertility care. What it offers is valuable emotional support, relaxation and time to reconnect with yourself during an experience that can feel overwhelming.
And if IUI or IVF hasn’t worked, please remember that it does not always mean the end of your story. In some circumstances, spontaneous conception can still happen but every person’s fertility journey is different.
So please hold on to hope, but hold yourself with compassion too. Stay supported, stay grounded in nature, nuture your body with delicious food and take everything one day at a time.
Today, I’m celebrating this wonderful woman and the little life she longed for with all her heart. Her journey was not easy, but her hope survived and she is well over half way through her pregnancy now and blooming.
She also embraced the meal plan wholeheartedly, following it with incredible commitment and consistency.
Hold on to hope not because the journey is easy, but because even after the darkest days, your story may still have a beautiful chapter waiting to unfold.
