We’re looking for candidates with a relevant Level 7 degree in Social Care or a related discipline, a Level 6 management qualification, at least 3 years’ management or supervisory experience in health or social care, and a full, clean driving licence with access to a car.

🌱💚 A Greener Orchard | Building a More Sustainable Future

At Orchard Care Group, we recognise the importance of reducing our environmental impact and making more sustainable choices across our services.

Throughout 2025, we continued to make progress towards a greener future:

🌍 12% reduction in our carbon footprint per resident.

☀️ Solar panels installed in 10 additional homes.

🚗 A 154% increase in hybrid vehicles, with hybrids accounting for 24% of our fleet by the end of 2025.

💡 LED lighting introduced across all houses to help reduce energy consumption.

🌿 Continued rewilding initiatives to support biodiversity, with up to 50% natural habitat at some locations.

These steps reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a more sustainable future for the people we support, our colleagues and our communities.

More Than 500 Colleagues. One Shared Purpose. 💜

Behind every home, every service and every positive outcome are the people who make it happen.

At the end of 2025, Orchard Care Group reached an important milestone — more than 500 colleagues working across Ireland. 🌱

As we continue to grow, we're also building strong connections with the next generation of professionals.

🎓 More than 30 higher-education student placements were hosted across Orchard in 2025, with many students going on to join us as colleagues.

🌍 Through our Erasmus partnership with La Salle University in Madrid, four students joined Orchard Residential Care teams in Sligo — and all four went on to take up permanent roles with Orchard.

🤝 We also welcomed colleagues from Ireland and countries including Greece, Canada, India and New Zealand, bringing different experiences and perspectives into the Orchard family.

Because Orchard isn't just about the services we provide. It's about the people behind them — the colleagues who bring our values to life every day.

💜 A fond farewell to Francie 💜

After almost 19 years with Orchard, we recently celebrated the retirement of a very special colleague, Francie.

Long before many of us worked here, Francie was already a familiar and much-loved presence across Orchard Residential Care. Over the years, his knowledge, experience and insight have supported and guided countless colleagues and, most importantly, helped make a lasting difference to the lives of many young people.

But Francie’s impact has always been about more than his wealth of experience. His kindness, generosity of spirit, willingness to help others and quiet, genuine approach have made him someone who is greatly respected and fondly remembered by staff, both past and present.

As was said during the celebration, when Francie’s name is mentioned, people smile, and that says so much about the person he is and the positive impression he has left on so many!

On behalf of everyone at Orchard, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Francie, for everything he has given over the years and wish him all the best in his retirement. 💜👏🥳
