Good morning! Ready to start yoga? I could tell you about the benefits, but here's one person's comment after she did a term with me:

"Pam, taking up yoga with you has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent years… you were so lovely always gently encouraging whilst reminding us to not force it but to breathe…" Geraldine, December 2025

If you'd like to feel the same way, come along tonight and find out how yoga benefits you.

Breathing is the key to so much for us. Life, for a start. Awareness. Energy. Inspiration. Expansion. Letting go. Resting.

But how do you breathe with awareness, or "intentionally"?

How can you direct the breath within the body?

What are the effects on the body? The mind? The connection between the two?

Knowing the answers isn't the same as experiencing them. Come along to my yoga classes and feel how beneficial conscious breathing can be.

If you have some yoga experience or are mobile enough to step into an intermediate class, join tonight's Tullow class at 7pm.

If you're a beginner, lay some solid foundations in your understanding of breath and movement on Thursday in Carlow at 7pm.

As autumn takes hold, we’re getting back on the mat with a view to strengthening agni, the inner fire.

Agni is the fire that helps us digest, not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. As the days shorten and we face into darker evenings and colder weather, strengthening this inner fire keeps our energy more level.

Join me in Tullow for a course that is suitable for those with some experience of yoga, and in Carlow for those new to the practice or getting back into it after a longer break.

The deep rest you get from a restorative yoga session can be surprising. I felt that when I undertook a restorative yoga course some years ago.

The comments from the recent Full Moon session echoes my own sense of something more deeply restful than expected. Something that reaches into your subconscious and lets you really let go and trust in your Self.

Feedback like this is a wonderful spur to offer more. Not often. Not regularly. But when things align and seasons change and the moon is at its brightest or darkest , these are meaningful moments to pause and gather yourself, listen to your intuition, and clarify your highest intentions.

More restorative sessions are in the planning stages for the coming months. Join my newsletter to stay informed about them. Link in bio, or visit pambutleryoga.com/contact.

September is nearly here. Time to turn inward.

This is a well-rounded 75-minute class drawing on the traditional methods of Hatha yoga — working with breath and movement to awaken your inner energy.

The session invites you to experience gentle joint movements and stronger standing poses. To flow with the rhythm of your breath, building mental focus. To come to stillness for a brief meditation, and enjoy the benefits of a guided relaxation that gently engages your mind while your body rests deeply.

Open to all. First time or returning — you're welcome.

I used to think equality meant everyone doing everything.

Working outdoors has challenged that idea.

I don’t have the capacity to chainsaw a large fallen oak for an hour — but I can electric-chainsaw smaller branches for a while. Different abilities, same shared task.

Physical and biological reality matters. Ignoring difference doesn’t create fairness; it creates frustration.

What makes more sense to me now is equity: equal opportunity to contribute, even if contribution looks different.

Nature works like this. Every ecosystem depends on diversity of role, strength, and timing. Nothing thrives by forcing sameness.

Maybe fairness isn’t about identical outcomes or identical effort, but about recognising reality while still valuing everyone’s participation.

Connection to nature — and to ourselves — tends to make this obvious again.

What’s your experience: sameness or balance?
