During this consultation we will find out the specific needs of your loved one, explain our approach to care and answer any questions you may have about Bishopscourt. A little look back at our Halloween party on Thursday at Bishopscourt Nursing Home! The Irish Weavers had us tapping our toes and enjoying a wonderful afternoon of music and fun. Thanks to the band and everyone who made it such a lovely celebration! 🎶🧡

🎃💌 A Lovely Halloween Surprise at Bishopscourt Nursing Home

Our residents received a wonderful surprise on Thursday when a special package arrived filled with beautiful handmade Halloween cards from the students of Glanmire Community College (GCC). 🎃👻

There were lots of smiles as our residents opened and read their lovely cards, each one bringing a little extra Halloween cheer to Bishopscourt. ❤️

A huge thank you to the students and staff of Glanmire Community College for thinking of our residents and taking the time to create such thoughtful cards.

It's little gestures like these that mean so much and remind us of the wonderful kindness within our local community. 💕

🍂 Autumn creativity at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork 🎨

Our Residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon of colouring, creating beautiful autumn artwork for the border of our Appreciation Board.

It's a great way to encourage creativity, enjoy each other's company and add a seasonal touch to our home.

And while some were busy colouring, others were happy to sit back, close their eyes, relax and enjoy the lovely music playing in the background.🥰

A special mention to our Healthcare Assistant Monica, pictured helping our Resident Margaret with her artwork.

☕🎶 Tea, scones and a little ABBA at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork

What could be nicer than a freshly baked scone, a lovely cup of tea and some favourite tunes playing in the background?

💕 Our residents Esther and Mary certainly enjoyed their afternoon, tucking into delicious homemade scones, freshly baked by our wonderful Chef Mary.

🎵 With a little ABBA playing, it wasn't long before everyone was singing along and enjoying the music.

Sometimes the simplest afternoons are the most enjoyable, especially when there is good company, music and something tasty to eat. 😊

🧶💕 A lovely creation from our knitting group at Nursing Home, Cork.

Just look at this beautiful handmade tea cosy, lovingly knitted by one of our talented residents during our knitting group. 🫖

With its pretty pink and blue colours and matching pom-pom, it's a wonderful example of creativity, patience and skill.

Our resident was absolutely delighted with how it turned out, and we can certainly see why. 😊

Knitting is a lovely activity that encourages creativity, helps maintain hand dexterity, and gives residents a wonderful opportunity to relax, chat, and enjoy each other's company.

👏 Well done to our talented knitter. A beautiful piece of work to be very proud of.

Our residents at Bishopscourt always look forward to our flower-arranging activities, enjoying the beautiful colours, delicate textures and wonderful scents of fresh flowers.

These lovely sensory activities give residents a chance to get creative, make their own floral arrangements, and enjoy a relaxing time together. From choosing their favourite blooms to arranging them into beautiful displays, there is plenty of room for creativity, conversation, and shared smiles.

It’s wonderful to see how something as simple as fresh flowers can brighten our residents’ day and bring a little extra colour and joy into the home.

It's been another lovely week of activities, relaxation and enjoying the little things that make each day special ❤️

🎱 Bingo Time🥳 Our residents enjoyed a few games of bingo, keeping their minds active, their concentration sharp and, of course, hoping for those winning numbers 😀

📰 Catching Up on the News: There's nothing quite like sitting down with the newspaper, catching up on local and national news and keeping up to date with what's happening in the world.

💅 A Little Pampering! And who doesn't enjoy a little TLC? Our pampering sessions are always a lovely opportunity to relax, feel good and enjoy having those nails beautifully painted 🥰

It's all about keeping busy, staying connected and making time for the activities our residents enjoy. 💕

Arts, Crafts & a little friendly competition at Bishopscourt Nursing Home, Cork

Our Residents enjoyed a lovely Arts & Crafts Monday, getting creative and drawing some wonderful self-portraits on foam flowers - it was a great laugh😊

Then on Thursday morning, it was time for a game of Snakes & Ladders 🐍🪜

Congratulations to Esther, who came in first after having plenty of luck climbing that big ladder 🪜👏

Unfortunately, our Activities Coordinator Yvonne wasn’t quite so lucky… she came last after repeatedly landing on the big snake 🐍🤣 Better luck next time, Yvonne
