Today we marked a very special milestone: our Payroll Manager, Debbie, celebrated 25 years with the Hartley People Group.

Over two and a half decades, Debbie has been a constant across the group, and we’re lucky to have her as part of the team here. Payroll might happen behind the scenes, but it’s at the heart of everything we do. Debbie’s experience, dedication, and calm under pressure help things go smoothly and are hugely valued by everyone who works with her.

Our newest staff members spent the morning learning our best practice Patient Manual Handling with our fantastic trainer, Paddy. At Clannad Care, every new team member gets full training and ongoing support from day one! 🙌

Yesterday, our Recruitment Coordinator Nikita met with students on the QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support course at Cork College of Further Education and Training, Youghal Campus! 🎓

Budget 2027 confirms 1.8 million additional home-support hours for older people next year, plus a further 191,000 hours of home support and personal assistance for disabled people. There’s also further investment in dementia services, family-carer supports and Meals on Wheels.

It’s a welcome step towards more care at home, where most people want to be.

Huge congratulations to Gailltír, winners of the 2026 Clannad Care Waterford Senior A Camogie Championship! 🏆

What a game of camogie between two brilliant sides, De La Salle and Gailltír flying the flag for the standard of camogie in Waterford.

At Clannad Care, our team includes club and county camogie players and management. That’s why sponsoring this championship was important to us. The dedication these women show on the pitch is the same dedication they bring to work every day, and it’s not lost on us or their clients.
