If counting calories worked long-term, you wouldn’t still be restarting every Monday. 👀

We don’t count calories at Breaking Fads—and we don’t teach women to spend their lives doing food maths.

Not because calories are imaginary. They’re one measure of energy.

But 150 calories doesn’t tell you whether a food will nourish you, satisfy you or have you rummaging for biscuits an hour later.

A boiled egg and a handful of sweets may contain similar calories. Your body won’t respond to them in the same way.

Instead, we show you how to build meals with:
🥦 Plenty of colourful vegetables
🍳 The right protein for you
🥑 Satisfying healthy fats
🥔 Sensible portions of quality carbohydrates
🌱 Fibre-rich, minimally processed ingredients
🍽️ Enough food to feel properly fed

When your meals contain real food in the right balance, they’re naturally more filling.

Cravings become easier to manage, portions make more sense and you stop needing an app to grant permission for dinner.

Because honestly—do you want to weigh pasta, scan packets and calculate every mouthful forever?

We want you to recognise what your body needs, eat well and get on with your life.

No obsessive tracking. No “earning” your food. No starting again tomorrow.

Just a simple, sustainable way of eating that works with your Bodytype.

Are you exhausted by calorie counting—or does deleting the app feel terrifying? Tell us below 👇

Save this reel, share it with someone trapped in food maths and follow for healthy weight management without another faddy diet.

You’ve got this. We’ve got you.

The clocks have gone back—and that extra hour has soup written all over it. 🥣

Not an hour for reorganising the spice cupboard. Not an hour for folding the laundry. And definitely not an hour for starting another diet.

One big pot. Proper ingredients. Dinner sorted.

A good soup or stew is one of the easiest ways to eat well when the evenings get darker:
🥕 Add plenty of colourful vegetables
🫘 Include beans, lentils, chicken or another protein
🌿 Use herbs, garlic and warming spices for flavour
🥔 Add potatoes, squash or whole grains to make it satisfying
🍋 Finish with lemon or fresh herbs to brighten it up

Make enough for tomorrow’s dinner—or portion and freeze it for the night when cooking feels about as appealing as going for a jog in sideways rain.

That little bit of preparation means fewer last-minute takeaways, less random cupboard grazing and one less decision after a long day.
Healthy eating doesn’t need to become harder in winter. It just needs to become warmer, simpler and better prepared.

Need some inspiration? Have a look through our previous recipe posts—we’ve shared plenty of colourful soups, stews, chillies and curries to get that big pot bubbling.

What are you making—soup, stew, chilli or curry? Tell us below 👇

Save this for clock-change weekend and tag the person who always makes enough food to feed the entire street.

You’ve got this. We’ve got you.

Your fish cakes shouldn’t need a search party to find the fish. 🐟😂

Ours have salmon, cod AND smoked haddock. Golden, crispy edges. Big, flaky pieces. Lemon, dill, capers and Dijon giving every mouthful a proper flavour kick.

And that creamy lemon, dill and caper dip? You’ll be scraping the bowl. 😋

No potato in these ones — grated courgette keeps the middle lovely and moist, leaving plenty of room for the fish.

Nothing wrong with a spud. We just want our fish cakes to live up to their name. 😉

You get protein, some omega-3 goodness from the salmon, and a dinner that makes eating well feel like something to look forward to.

Serve with a big crunchy salad, roasted veg or your favourite sides. Make a batch and freeze some for those “what’s for dinner?” evenings.
Proper food. Fabulous flavour. No need to be on another bloody diet. 💚

📌 Save this for your next dinner dilemma.

It’s gone cold. Suddenly toast has a fan club. 🍞

We all know that feeling. Curtains closed, bra off, kettle on… and something lovely to eat feels like an essential part of the evening.

Toast.
Chocolate.
Cheese.
Something crunchy.
A bowl of pasta big enough to bathe in.

Before you announce, “I’ve got absolutely no willpower,” get curious about what’s happening before the craving.

For Nikki, Kate, Maya, Lilly and Jess, that’s a more useful starting point than blaming themselves. A craving alone doesn’t tell you your Bodytype — or prove you’re missing a particular nutrient.

Try these five little checks:
🍽️ Have you eaten enough today? Coffee, a tiny lunch and everyone else’s leftovers might explain why you’re prowling the kitchen. Start with regular, satisfying meals.

🕓 Has it been hours since you ate? You don’t need to “be good” until dinner. Have a snack if you’re hungry — an apple with nut butter, for example.

🧣 Are you craving something cosy? Make your meals warmer and more inviting: porridge, soup, curry or stew. Healthy food is allowed to feel like a hug.

😮‍💨 Do you need a break as well as a biscuit? If you’re frazzled, food might be part of the comfort you’re looking for. Sit down, take a breather and give yourself a proper pause.

🍫 Do you simply fancy it? You’re allowed to enjoy chocolate. Put some on a plate, sit down and enjoy it. No courtroom defence required.

The aim is to spot your patterns and make feeding yourself easier. Keep a satisfying meal or snack handy, especially on the evenings when you know you’ll be running on fumes.
What do YOU suddenly want when it gets cold?

Tea and toast? Chocolate? Cheese? Crunch? Or the enormous pasta bowl? Tell us below — we know you’ve got a favourite. 👇

Save this for your next kitchen-prowling evening.

You’ve got this. We’ve got you.

Your gut doesn’t need another expensive powder. It needs feeding properly. 👀

Looking after your gut can support comfortable digestion, regular bowel movements and your wider health—and it starts with everyday food.

Our favourite gut-friendly choices:
🌈 Colourful fruit and vegetables Different plants provide different fibres, so variety matters.
🫘 Beans, lentils and chickpeas Brilliant sources of fibre for soups, stews, curries and salads.
🥣 Oats and whole grains Great for adding soluble fibre and variety. Nikki can choose grain-free fibre sources that suit her Bodytype.
🧅 Onions, garlic, leeks and asparagus They contain prebiotic fibres that feed helpful gut bacteria.
🥝 Kiwi, berries, pears, apples and bananas Simple ways to add fibre and colourful plant compounds.
🥜 Nuts, chia, flaxseed and other seeds Small additions with plenty of fibre and healthy fats.
🥥 Coconut or almond yoghurt with live cultures Check the label—it needs to say live or active cultures.
🥬 Fermented vegetables Try small amounts of sauerkraut or kimchi and see how your body responds.
💧 Water Fibre needs fluid to do its job.

Adults are advised to aim for around 30g of fibre daily, but increase it gradually. Going from barely any fibre to lentils, chia and sauerkraut in one heroic afternoon may create more drama than wellness. 😂

Gut health is personal. What makes one woman feel fantastic may leave another bloated—so notice what works for your body.

How many of these have you eaten this week? Tell us below, save this reel and share it with someone who needs more gut-friendly food inspiration.

You’ve got this. We’ve got you.

The clocks haven’t even changed yet and suddenly 7pm feels like midnight. 😴

The darker evenings arrive and our usual routines can quietly disappear:

The evening walk gets cancelled.
Salad starts looking deeply unappealing.
The sofa becomes emotionally supportive.
And “I’ll start again in spring” begins sounding perfectly reasonable. 😂

But winter doesn’t need your summer routine—it needs a winter version of it.

Try this:

🌤️ Move earlier when you can
Take a walk at lunchtime, park farther away or get outside during daylight instead of relying on evening motivation.

🥣 Swap cold meals for warm ones
Soups, stews, curries, porridge and traybakes can be colourful, nourishing and brilliant for healthy weight management.

🛒 Keep easy ingredients ready
Frozen vegetables, tinned beans, eggs, cooked lentils and homemade freezer portions can rescue you from the nightly “what on earth are we eating?” conversation.

🫖 Keep drinking
Thirst doesn’t vanish because it’s cold. Swap some chilled water for warm water or unsweetened herbal teas.

💡 Brighten your mornings
Open the curtains immediately, get outside when possible and avoid spending the whole day in dim rooms.

🛏️ Respect the earlier tiredness
A consistent bedtime can be far more helpful than fighting sleep with snacks, scrolling and another episode.

You don’t need to do more this winter.
You simply need to adapt what already works.

Which habit disappears first when the evenings get darker—walking, cooking, drinking water or leaving the sofa? Tell us below 👇

Save this as your winter routine reminder and share it with your favourite hibernation partner.

You’ve got this.
We’ve got you.

Winter breakfasts just got a serious glow-up. 💜✨

Our Plum, Kiwi & Pomegranate Compote is warm, jewel-coloured and bursting with fabulous flavour—sweet plums, sharp kiwi, juicy pomegranate and a cosy little kick from ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.

And it makes almost everything taste better:
🥣 Spoon it over warm porridge
🥥 Swirl it through coconut or almond yoghurt and granola
🌱 Add it to chia pudding
🥞 Pile it onto our fluffy oaty pancakes—recipe coming soon!
🍎 Enjoy it warm as a simple pudding
🥄 Or eat it straight from the jar… we won’t tell

It’s not just delicious either:
💜 Plums provide fibre to support healthy digestion
🥝 Kiwi brings vitamin C and natural freshness
❤️ Pomegranate adds colourful plant compounds called polyphenols
🔥 Ginger, cinnamon and cardamom create warmth and plenty of flavour
🍁 Maple syrup adds just enough sweetness without drowning the fruit

It’s the sort of recipe that makes a grey winter morning feel far more interesting—and helps turn an ordinary breakfast into something you’ll actually look forward to.

Make one batch, keep it in the fridge and thank yourself all week.

Comment PLUM below and we’ll send you the full recipe. 👇

Comfort food doesn’t have to come with a food coma. 🍲

It’s getting colder. The curtains are closing earlier. And frankly, a cold lettuce leaf isn’t doing it for us.

We want something warm, delicious and easy — preferably with leftovers, because tomorrow’s dinner shouldn’t require another committee meeting.

Your Bodytype’s idea of comfort might look like this…
💚 Nikki: A chicken, mushroom and leek stew with olive oil, herbs and plenty of vegetables. A gorgeous bowl without automatically adding bread or pasta.
💚 Kate: A hearty lentil and vegetable cottage pie with a golden potato topping. Plenty of variety, plenty of flavour, and a proper sit-down dinner.
💚 Maya: A warming chicken and vegetable curry with cauliflower rice. In our Bodytype approach, this keeps the protein separate from a starchy carbohydrate side.
💚 Lilly: Creamy roasted squash sauce stirred through gluten-free pasta with spinach. Blend the squash with a little unsweetened almond milk — creamy doesn’t have to mean cream!
💚 Jess: A fragrant coconut chicken soup with courgette, spinach, ginger and lime. Warming, grain-free, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Five bowls. Plenty of comfort. No complicated cooking required.

Use frozen vegetables, make extra portions and let the freezer take a shift. You don’t need to cook from scratch every single evening to eat well.

Comfort food doesn’t have one recipe.

Which bowl would you choose — Nikki, Kate, Maya, Lilly or Jess? Tell us below, and save this for the next “what’s for dinner?” moment. 👇

“Detox tea” isn’t one tea—and it certainly isn’t a magic bag that pressure-washes your liver. 🫖😂

Herbal teas have been used across traditional cultures for thousands of years, but every herb has its own properties and purpose.

That means the tea you choose should depend on what support you’re actually looking for:
🌿 Peppermint — traditionally used after meals for digestive comfort
🔥 Ginger — warming and often chosen when digestion feels sluggish
🌼 Chamomile — calming and ideal as part of an evening wind-down
🌱 Fennel — traditionally used for bloating and digestive discomfort
🍃 Nettle — a mineral-rich herbal infusion traditionally used to support normal urinary elimination
🌳 Dandelion root — traditionally used as a bitter digestive herb
🍋 Lemon balm — gentle, calming and lovely when stress is affecting digestion
🌺 Hibiscus — sharp, refreshing and a colourful way to drink more fluid

But here’s the important bit:
Your liver and kidneys already perform the body’s detoxification and waste-removal work. Herbal tea doesn’t scrub an organ clean, undo a weekend or replace proper food.

Think of it as gentle support—not punishment in a mug.

And stronger isn’t always better. “Detox” blends containing stimulant laxatives can mean cramps, diarrhoea and an urgent relationship with the nearest toilet—not toxins dramatically leaving your body. 😬

Choose the herb for the purpose, drink it alongside proper meals and water, and check with a pharmacist or qualified practitioner if you take medication, are pregnant or have liver or kidney problems.

Which herbal tea do you reach for most—peppermint, ginger, chamomile or something else? Tell us below 👇

Save this as your simple tea guide and share it with someone who owns 23 herbal teas but still drinks the same one every evening.

You’ve got this. We’ve got you.
