An incredibly proud moment for Beit Issie Shapiro! 💙

Last night, our founder, Naomi Stuchiner, was honored with the prestigious Sylvan Adams Nefesh B'Nefesh Bonei Zion Award.

For decades, Naomi has dedicated her life to improving the lives of people with disabilities and their families. Her vision, hard work, and determination have helped build Beit Issie Shapiro into the organization it is today, making a lasting difference in Israel and beyond.

We are so happy to see Naomi receive this recognition for a lifetime of dedication to others.

Congratulations, Naomi! We couldn’t be prouder. 💙

✨ An unforgettable evening celebrating resilience, independence, and the power of possibility!

We’re so excited to share this wonderful feature in the Jewish Journal highlighting Beit Issie Shapiro’s recent gala in Los Angeles!

From an inspiring address by Paralympic gold medalist Moran Samuel to powerful moments of music, recognition, and community, the evening was a beautiful reminder of what becomes possible when we focus on abilities, not limitations.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, supported our mission, and helped make this special evening possible. Together, we are building a more inclusive world where people of all abilities can thrive. 💙

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day! 💙🧠

Mental health matters to all of us, and at Beit Issie Shapiro, we’re working to make sure people with disabilities have access to the care and support that works for them.

We’re especially proud to have opened Israel’s first National Mental Health Center for People with Disabilities! And last year, we took another exciting step by launching the country’s first clinical psychology residency program specializing in disabilities.

These are big steps toward making mental health care more accessible, and we’re so excited to see what’s ahead! 🧡

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost on October 7 and in the days that followed. We hold their families and loved ones in our hearts, and we stand with all those who continue to carry the pain of that day.

May their memories be a blessing.
