Every post a doctor publishes now has to answer one question first.

Is this NMC-safe?

Since the new guidelines came into effect on 6 October, that question has filled our comments and DMs. Banners, reel scripts, captions, testimonials. Thousands of you wanted a quick, clear answer before hitting post.

So we built one.

check.medvyn.in reads your script, caption or creative and gives you a clause-by-clause report. Every risky line is highlighted, the exact clause is shown, and you get compliant wording you can copy straight back into your draft.

It understands Gujarati, Hindi and English. It’s built for doctors, hospitals and the agencies that manage their pages.

Your first 2 checks are free.

Swipe through to see how it works. Then try it on the next post you’re about to publish.

Link in bio. Send this to your clinic team and your agency.

Independent tool by Medvyn. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Medical Commission. Automated guidance, not legal advice.

Sometimes, a challenging case leaves a lesson that stays with a surgeon forever.

For Dr Rasesh Pothiwala, one patient’s difficult recovery after bypass surgery became a turning point in how he viewed conventional treatment approaches. The experience highlighted an important reality: successful surgery is only one part of the journey. Post-operative complications can change everything.

In this Medvyn conversation, Dr Rasesh Pothiwala shares the experience that made him look beyond conventional bypass surgery and explore alternative approaches to cardiac care.

In the last two days, thousands of you asked me the same thing.

“Is this banner okay?”
“Will this reel script pass?”
“Can I still post this testimonial?”

Every question was valid. But I couldn’t answer each one personally. So we built something that can.

Introducing check.medvyn.in

Paste your reel script or caption. Or upload your banner. In about two minutes, you get a report that shows:

→ Every line that goes against the NMC guidelines
→ The exact clause it breaks, and why
→ Compliant wording you can copy straight into your draft

It reads Gujarati, Hindi and English. It works for doctors, hospitals and the agencies that post for them.

Your first 2 checks are free.

One thing I want to be clear about. This is not an official NMC tool, and it’s not legal advice. It’s a pre-check. Its only job is to help you catch a mistake before it goes live, not after a notice arrives.

The rules are clear now. Checking your content shouldn’t be hard.

Link in bio. And if an agency handles your page, send this to them too.

I run an agency. We create content for doctors every day.

Which is exactly why I felt I had to say this.

If your agency posts something that breaks the new NMC guidelines, the responsibility is yours. Not the agency’s.

Section 4.4 makes this clear. Whether a post goes out through an agency, a platform or anyone else, if you approved it or allowed it to stay up, you answer for it.

And the consequences are not small.

→ First violation: warning and mandatory ethics training
→ Second: censure and a monetary penalty
→ Third: registration suspended for 3 to 6 months
→ Serious violations like misleading cure claims, patient inducement or digital mass solicitation: 6 to 12 months

Two more things worth checking. Paying an agency per patient or per lead is now a risk. And bought followers, likes or reviews are out completely.

So here’s one question to ask your agency today:

“How many posts on our page right now go against the guideline?”

If the answer is “I’m not sure”, get an audit done this week.

This guideline isn’t something to fear. It’s asking for what good doctors have always done. Tell the truth. Respect the patient.

This is Part 3 of the series. Parts 1 and 2 are linked above.

Most NMC mistakes don’t happen because doctors want to break the rules.

They happen at 11 pm, when a post goes live in a hurry and nobody stops to check.

The new NMC guidelines came into effect on 6 October 2026. Since then, the question we hear most is not “what’s banned?” It’s “how do I know if my post is okay?”

So we made it simple. Seven questions. Thirty seconds. Before every post.

Swipe through to see each one with the clause it comes from. Then save the checklist on slide 9 and keep it next to your phone.

If your clinic team or agency posts for you, send this to them too. The guideline is clear that the responsibility stays with the doctor, no matter who hits post.

This post is for awareness and is not legal advice. Full NMC notice: Ref R-13014/01/2024-Ethics, dated 06.10.2026.

Two days. 20+ doctors. Same question.

“Should we just shut down our Instagram?”

No. That’s the one mistake you shouldn’t make right now.

The new NMC guidelines stop promotion. They don’t stop education. Clause 5.1 clearly allows doctors to create health awareness and educational content, as long as it doesn’t solicit patients.

But here’s what most people will miss.

From now on every doctor will be “educating.” So education alone won’t set you apart. The way you explain will.

Three things will decide who gets remembered:

→ Story. Not just facts. A situation people can see themselves in.
→ Tone. Not a lecture. A conversation they believe.
→ The OPD format. Talk to the camera the way you’d talk to the patient sitting across your table.

You don’t need a studio. Your OPD chair is enough.

“Best doctor” was never what built trust. Explaining did.

Part 3 is about the question nobody is asking yet: if your agency posts something wrong, who answers for it?

Save this. Send it to a doctor who’s unsure what to post next.
