💍 BRIDES-TO-BE, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOUR NEXT BACK-WAXING SESSION!

You get your back waxed for your wedding. Everything looks fine initially.

Then, 4–7 days later, tiny red bumps or pus-filled pimples suddenly appear on your back.

And you’re left wondering: Why now? What did I do wrong?

One possibility is waxing-related folliculitis…..inflammation of the hair follicles that can sometimes involve infection.

Waxing can irritate hair follicles, and the resulting bumps may appear only after a delay. That’s why many brides don’t connect them to their salon appointment.

✨ My advice to brides:

✔️ Don’t schedule your first-ever back wax immediately before your wedding.

✔️ Allow enough time between hair removal and your big day to see how your skin responds.

✔️ Laser Hair Reduction is a better choice for getting rid of hair from back. Start atleast 6-7 months before wedding.

✔️ If bumps appear, avoid self-medicating. Folliculitis, acne and irritation can look similar but may need different treatments.

💗 Planning your bridal skincare? Remember that your back deserves attention, too!

Save this post and share it with a bride-to-be who needs to know this.

“Doctor, tattoo hatwaana hai… kitne sessions lagenge?” 🤔

If only tattoo removal were as simple as getting a tattoo! 😅

At Perfect Skin Clinic, here’s what I want every patient to know before starting laser tattoo removal. 👇🏻

🔬 1. Not all tattoo colours respond equally.
Black ink often responds well, while blue and red pigments can be more challenging or unpredictable depending on the ink and laser wavelength.

⚡ 2. How does a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser work?
It delivers very short, high-energy pulses that break tattoo pigment into smaller particles. Your body’s immune system then gradually helps clear these particles.

📅 3. Patience is essential!
Many tattoos need 6–8 sessions or more, usually spaced around 6–8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the tattoo’s colour, depth, size, ink composition and your skin.

👻 4. Ever heard of a ghost tattoo?
Even after multiple sessions, a faint shadow or outline may remain due to residual pigment or changes in the skin.

🩺 5. Why consult a dermatologist?
Choosing the right laser settings, assessing your skin and recognising complications such as burns, pigmentation changes and scarring require medical expertise.

⚠️ 6. Have a keloid tendency?
Inform your dermatologist before treatment. If you have a history of keloids, the risk of abnormal scarring needs careful assessment before proceeding.

✨ Remember: Tattoo removal is a gradual process, not a magic trick. Complete removal cannot always be guaranteed, but a carefully planned treatment can achieve significant fading.

📌 Save this post if you’re considering tattoo removal, and share it with someone who wants to get rid of an old tattoo!

“Doctor, bas acne ke liye chemist se cream li thi…” 😬

And that one innocent-looking tube can sometimes turn into a much bigger skin problem.

The problem isn’t buying skincare from a chemist.
The problem is using treatment creams without knowing what’s actually inside them ….and whether your skin needs them.

A cream can contain powerful active ingredients that may help when used correctly, but can also cause irritation, sensitivity, rashes, acne-like eruptions or other unwanted effects when used inappropriately.

And remember 👇
Skin problem ka naam pata hona ≠ treatment pata hona.

Because all acne is not the same, and neither is the treatment.

So next time you’re tempted to say,
“Chemist ne bola tha, laga lo…”
🚨 Pause. Ask your dermatologist first.

Save this post …especially if you’re someone who loves trying “one tube” solutions! ❤️

“Doctor, I read somewhere…” 😅

After years of seeing patients, I’ve realised that some skincare & haircare beliefs are surprisingly hard to let go of!

From “split ends are stopping my hair growth” to “I had fish with milk, so that’s why I got vitiligo” -I’ve heard them all. 🙈

And honestly, I don’t blame anyone.
Most of these myths sound so logical that they’re easy to believe… until we look at the science.

So here are 5 things I hear in my clinic regularly -and what dermatology actually says. 🧬🔬
Because when it comes to your skin and hair:

Not everything that sounds logical is medically correct.

And no, asking questions is NEVER foolish. ❤️
That’s exactly what a consultation is for.

Which one have you heard before? 👀
Tell me the number in the comments -1, 2, 3, 4 or 5!

Save this post for the next time someone confidently tells you a skincare “fact” they heard from somewhere. 😄

✨ Bride-to-be, your bridal glow doesn’t begin at the makeup chair. It begins much earlier-with how you nourish and care for yourself. ✨

We often think of bridal skin prep as facials, skincare, lasers and treatments. And yes, these can have an important role-but healthy, radiant skin is not just about what you put ON your skin. It’s also about what’s happening WITHIN.

If you’re getting married, don’t wait until the last few weeks to think about your skin and health. Start early and look at the bigger picture. 🤍

🥗 Eat a balanced, varied diet
Include plenty of colourful vegetables, whole fruits, salads, nourishing home-cooked meals, healthy fats and adequate protein.

🥚 Don’t forget protein
Eggs, paneer, curd/Greek yogurt, dal, chana, rajma, soy, fish or chicken (depending on your diet) can help provide the building blocks your body needs for skin, hair and nail maintenance.

💧 Stay hydrated
Water should be your mainstay. Coconut water can be a refreshing option too-but it’s not a replacement for a balanced diet.

🩸 Think beyond skincare
Certain nutritional deficiencies can contribute to problems such as pallor, fatigue, hair fall or a generally dull appearance. Depending on your symptoms, diet and medical history, your dermatologist may suggest investigations such as Hb, serum ferritin, Vitamin B12 or Vitamin D3…..
And remember-a test result should always be interpreted in context. Don’t start supplements simply because a number is slightly outside the reference range. What you need depends on you.

👩🏻‍⚕️ This is where a dermatologist can make a difference.
A pre-bridal consultation isn’t only about choosing a facial or serum. It can be an opportunity to assess your skin concerns, look at your hair and lifestyle, identify relevant deficiencies when indicated, and plan treatments with enough time to achieve meaningful results.

So book your consultation now👇🏻

Your skin deserves a dermatologist, not an algorithm. 🤍

In a world where every week brings a new “must-try” skincare trend, procedure or miracle ingredient, it’s easy to forget one simple thing:

Your skin is not a trend. It’s yours.

As a dermatologist, my job isn’t to recommend what’s viral.
It’s to understand your skin, your concerns, your goals…and what is actually appropriate for you.

Sometimes that means a procedure.
Sometimes it means prescription treatment.
Sometimes it means changing your routine.
And sometimes, the best advice is simply: don’t do anything.

I don’t believe in promising flawless skin.
I believe in realistic goals, evidence-based treatment and informed choices.

Because good dermatology isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing what’s right. ✨

Science over trends.
Individualised care over one-size-fits-all.
Trust over quick fixes.

Welcome to Perfect Skin Clinic ….where healthy skin comes before perfect skin.

One thing we should bring back from the 80s? ✨ FRIZZ. 😌💁🏻‍♀️

Because somewhere along the way, we decided that every single flyaway, wave, curl and bit of volume needed to be “fixed.”

And honestly… healthy hair doesn’t have to be perfectly smooth hair. ❤️

Frizz is not automatically a sign of damaged hair.
It can simply be a part of your natural hair texture, influenced by your genetics, curl pattern, humidity, hair porosity and the way your hair is cared for.

In fact, hair becomes more prone to frizz when the outer cuticle interacts with moisture in the environment. Curly and wavy hair, in particular, can naturally appear more “frizzy” because of its structure.
But here’s where we need to be careful 👀

When the goal becomes “I want absolutely zero frizz”, we often start reaching for repeated chemical smoothing treatments such as keratin, nanoplastia, cysteine-based treatments or so-called hair Botox.

These treatments are not all chemically identical, and their formulations vary considerably. Some can make hair look smoother and more manageable, but the combination of chemical processing + high heat + repeated treatments can contribute to cuticle disruption, dryness, brittleness and breakage, particularly in already fragile or chemically treated hair.

And the irony?

👉 You may be treating the appearance of frizz while gradually compromising the health of the hair shaft.

So before asking:

“How do I get rid of my frizz?”

Maybe ask:

“Why is my hair frizzy, and what does it actually need?” ❤️

Sometimes the answer is better conditioning.
Sometimes it’s reducing heat damage.
Sometimes it’s a haircut suited to your texture.
Sometimes it’s simply learning how to style your natural waves/curls.

And sometimes… nothing needs fixing at all. 😄

🌸 Healthy hair > perfectly smooth hair.
✨ Texture is not a flaw.
💗 Frizz is not a medical emergency.

Let’s make healthy, natural-looking hair the trend that stays.

Would you choose healthy hair with a little frizz over perfectly smooth but increasingly damaged hair? 👀👇🏻
