POV: Your job sounds like a crime, but it’s actually saving lives! 😂🩺

Anaesthesiology sounds wild when you describe it without context. But behind every “illegal-sounding” task is science, precision and patient safety.

As medical students, remember:
• Anaesthesia is more than putting patients to sleep.
• Airway management and ventilation require constant vigilance.
• Muscle relaxants, monitoring and reversal demand clinical expertise.
• Safe emergence and recovery are just as important as induction.

Dr. Azam makes complex medical concepts easier to understand, one topic at a time!

😂 When something goes wrong in the hospital, somehow anaesthesia gets blamed!

Late? Early? BP too high? BP too low? Even Bangalore traffic and hospital Wi-Fi? Apparently, anaesthesia is responsible for EVERYTHING! 🤦‍♂️

If you're an anaesthesia resident, you know this list hits a little too close to home. 😅

Behind the jokes, anaesthesiologists constantly monitor vital signs, manage complications and keep patients safe.

🚨 NEET PG & Anaesthesia PGs: Have you ever seen a raised troponin and instantly thought “MI”? That one mistake can cost you marks in exams and clinical decisions in real life.

I see many students struggle to remember the difference between Troponin I and Troponin T, and more importantly, the non-cardiac causes of troponin elevation. That’s exactly why I created this quick revision module.

Key points to remember:
• Troponin I inhibits actin-myosin interaction
• Troponin T binds the complex to tropomyosin
• Raised troponin ≠ always myocardial infarction
• Sepsis, shock, PE, stroke, CKD and heart failure can also elevate troponin
• Troponin T is more commonly chronically elevated in CKD
