Ceylon or Cassia? 👀

If you thought cinnamon was just… cinnamon, you’re not alone.
There are different types of cinnamon, and once you start looking closely, the differences become pretty interesting.
Ceylon cinnamon comes from Cinnamomum verum, a species native to Sri Lanka. Cassia refers to other cinnamon types, including Cinnamomum cassia.

The next time you see a handful of cinnamon sticks, don’t just look at the colour.
Look at the bark. Look at the layers. Look a little closer. 🌿
