☀️SPF 50… But Are You REALLY Getting SPF 50? 😳| Final part.......
You’re using SPF 50… but you might NOT be getting the protection you think. 👀🧴
The problem? You may not be applying enough.
The SPF on your sunscreen label is determined under standardized testing conditions using a defined amount of product.
But in real life, using too little sunscreen can significantly reduce the protection you receive.
☀️ Face + neck: ~2 finger-lengths
☀️ Exposed body: ~30 g for an average adult
⏰ Apply: about 15 minutes before going outdoors
🔄 Reapply: at least every 2 hours and after swimming, heavy sweating or towel-drying
And yes… even water-resistant sunscreen needs reapplication. 💦
So remember:
High SPF + too little sunscreen ≠ the protection you expect.
It’s not just about which SPF you choose.
It’s also about how much you apply and when you reapply.
📌 SAVE this for your next sunscreen application!
This is PART 6 of our SPF & Sunscreen Science series. 🧪☀️
Be honest… do you think you’re using enough? 👀👇
