Good news: lifestyle changes can even reverse early-stage fatty liver.

There is no specific medication, but small steps work. A healthy weight, a balanced low-fat diet, regular movement and less alcohol all help. Even light exercise counts. Manage cholesterol and diabetes too, and see a liver specialist for regular monitoring.

Which one will you start with this week? Tell us in the comments.

Fatty liver is silent. So how is it actually diagnosed?

Doctors often spot it during routine check-ups, through an ultrasound or blood tests. To confirm the diagnosis, they also look at your medical history. For a closer look, they may recommend a FibroScan, which checks liver stiffness, or in advanced cases, a liver biopsy. These tests help doctors see how much damage there is and rule out other liver issues.

Have you ever had a liver check-up as part of a routine test? Tell us below.

Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver(NAFLD) - Know the signs. Know the risk.

Early signs of fatty liver, like tiredness or mild abdominal pain, are easy to miss. Advanced signs, like yellow skin or swelling, are harder to ignore. People with obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, PCOS or sleep apnea are more at risk.

Your liver won’t warn you. Fatty liver can do damage without a single symptom.

It can silently harm the liver over time, even with no symptoms in the early stages. As it moves ahead, it can lead to liver inflammation, scarring, liver failure, and even liver cancer. It is also closely linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol, and metabolic syndrome. This makes it a serious risk to your overall health.

Some fat shows on the body. Some build up inside the liver.

This is called fatty liver. It can happen even in people who do not drink alcohol. Some experts suggest 4 out of 10 people in India may be affected. Fatty liver is silent, but it is not harmless. If not treated, it can lead to serious liver problems.

Coffee, cheese, wheat or w**e? Food intolerance triggers may be in your daily meals.

Dairy products like milk, cheese and yoghurt are the most common causes. They have a natural sugar called lactose, which some bodies find hard to digest. Symptoms often show up a few hours after eating and may depend on how much you have. Other everyday foods can be triggers too.

Which food do you think upsets your tummy? Tell us in the comments. Stay tuned for symptoms and how to manage them in our next post.

Upset stomach after eating? It could be more than indigestion.

Food intolerance affects your digestion and is usually not life-threatening. A food allergy involves your immune system and can be serious. Knowing which one you have helps you stay safe and get the right care.

Have you ever wondered why food bothers you?

Tell us in the comments. The answer may be in our next post on triggers and symptoms.
