NAVRATRI FASTING & CANCER CARE 🙏🎗️
Navratri fasting is a spiritual practice, but cancer patients should take extra precautions.
⚠️ Fasting may worsen: Weakness, dehydration, nausea, poor appetite and weight loss—especially during cancer treatment.
👨⚕️ Before fasting: Consult your oncologist. Avoid strict fasting if you are underweight, losing weight, eating poorly or experiencing vomiting, diarrhea or dizziness.
✅ If permitted to fast:
* Stay well hydrated.
* Ensure adequate calories and protein.
* Eat small, frequent meals.
* Choose nutritious, easy-to-digest foods.
🚨 Stop fasting and seek medical advice if you develop severe weakness, dizziness, palpitations, fever, vomiting or difficulty eating or drinking.
💚 Remember: Your health comes first. During cancer treatment, proper nutrition is essential.
When in doubt, consult your oncologist before fasting.
