𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) occurs when the median nerve is compressed at the wrist, causing symptoms such as tingling, numbness and pain in the hand and fingers. These symptoms can often become more noticeable at night and may even disturb sleep.

Diabetes, obesity, pregnancy, hypothyroidism and rheumatoid arthritis can be associated with a higher risk of CTS.
Diagnosis is primarily clinical and may be supported by NCS, EMG studies or ultrasound to assess the median nerve and severity.
Treatment may include activity modification, night wrist splinting, corticosteroid injections and, when symptoms persist despite conservative care, carpal tunnel release surgery.
If you have persistent or worsening hand symptoms, consult a specialist for proper evaluation.
