On the auspicious occasion of the 2-days annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Syed Mohammed Hussain Simnani (RA), and on the request of President Simnania Awqaf committee kulgam, the District Ayush Office, Kulgam, organized a specialized Free Medical Aid Camp (Day1) for immediate medical care and relief of devotees, and members of the local community.
The medical camp aimed to deliver accessible health and wellness services to thousands of attendees participating in the religious observance. A dedicated team of Ayush medical officers, practitioners, and healthcare professionals was deployed to extend essential healthcare services throughout the event.
The initiative witnessed strong community attendance and participation, on first day of 2 day urs celebration. Devotees expressed sincere gratitude to the District Ayush Office, Kulgam, for their compassionate service and dedicated effort in promoting public health during such a significant cultural and spiritual gathering.

​KULGAM, OCTOBER 21, 2026: District AYUSH Officer Kulgam today conducted an extensive tour of various AYUSH healthcare institutions across the district—including Yaripora, Neelu, Qaimoh, Bhan, and Devsar—to review their overall functioning and healthcare delivery mechanisms.
​During the inspection, the District AYUSH Officer impressed upon the staff to strictly maintain punctuality and ensure 100% attendance. Directions were also issued to regularly organize health awareness camps and outreach activities to maximize public outreach and community benefits.
​Emphasizing the principles of discipline and dedication, the Officer instructed the healthcare staff to prioritize patient care and uphold quality standards in service delivery.
​Expressing satisfaction with the overall performance and devotion to duty shown by the medical officers and staff, the District AYUSH Officer urged them to maintain their momentum to further strengthen the district's AYUSH healthcare system.

District Ayush Office Kulgam Conducts Multi-Dimensional Healthcare and Awareness Drives Across the District
KULGAM, OCTOBER 17, 2026 — In a major effort to promote holistic health, preventive care, and community wellness, the District Ayush Office, Kulgam, organized a series of healthcare initiatives, health camps, and awareness programs across multiple locations in the district. The programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, educational staff, and local community members.
Key Highlights of the Event
* Yoga & Wellness Sessions: A dedicated Yoga Session was organized to emphasize the importance of daily physical exercise, mental well-being, and stress management. Over 216 participants, predominantly school students, actively took part in various Yoga Asanas and breathing exercises.
* MPW & IEC Outreach Activities: Multi-Purpose Workers (MPWs) conducted door-to-door home visits, school interactions, and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions. Focusing on community health education, dietary awareness, and preventative healthcare, these activities recorded a total participation of 173 individuals across Tazipora, Arreh, and Katrusu areas.
* AYUSH Health Mela & Free Medical Aid Camp: Under the Ayushman Bhav campaign, a comprehensive AYUSH Medical Camp and Health Mela were conducted at Bachroo, Kulgam. Healthcare teams provided free consultations, health screenings, and free AYUSH medicine distributions to 358 beneficiaries.
Impact and Community Response
The combined initiatives brought quality healthcare and wellness awareness directly to the doorstep of rural communities. Local residents and school authorities expressed deep gratitude to the Directorate of AYUSH, J&K, and the District Ayush Office, Kulgam, for holding such impactful health programs and urged for more regular camps in the future.
