Your brain can make you believe things that aren’t even true. 🧠
“They left me on read. They must be annoyed with me.”
“I made one mistake. I’m terrible at everything.”
“What if everything goes wrong?”
Sound familiar? These are examples of thinking patterns that can make you overthink, doubt yourself, and feel anxious.
Your thoughts are not always facts. Sometimes, your mind fills in the blanks, focuses on the negative, or predicts the worst before anything has even happened.
The next time your thoughts take over, pause and ask yourself:
✨ Is this a fact or an assumption?
✨ Am I looking at the whole picture?
✨ What evidence do I actually have?
You don’t have to believe every thought just because it appears in your mind.
Learning to recognise these patterns is one step towards better emotional wellbeing. And if these patterns are affecting your daily life, talking to a psychologist can help you understand and work through them.
💚 Save this post for the next time your mind plays tricks on you.
