🌿 A Sunday Story
Every Sunday, Meera would make the same cup of tea, sit by her window and write down everything she needed to fix about her life.
She needed to be more productive.
More patient.
More successful.
She needed to lose weight, earn more, worry less, call people back, make everyone happy...
Her list grew longer every week.
One Sunday, her little daughter sat beside her and asked,
“Mumma, what are you writing?”
Meera smiled and said, “Things I need to change so I can have a better life.”
Her daughter looked at the page for a moment and asked,
“But Mumma... when do you get to enjoy the life you already have?”
Meera didn't have an answer.
She looked around.
Her daughter's tiny hand was holding hers.
The tea was still warm.
Sunlight was coming through the window.
There was laughter coming from the other room.
Nothing had changed.
Except what she was looking at.
That morning, Meera tore up her list.
Not because she had stopped growing.
But because she finally understood that growth doesn't have to come from believing you are not enough.
Sometimes, you grow simply because you are grateful for who you already are.
Sunday reflection:
Are you spending so much time trying to create a better life that you're forgetting to experience the one you're living right now? 🤍
