Sometimes, we want the quickest solution. Sometimes, we want to feel understood.

Sometimes, only at a crossroads, when we're emotionally charged, or when life circumstances shift, do we get a chance to pause and reflect on what this means for each of us. Let these moments help us choose wisely to navigate a very uncertain future.

Instagram is full of beautifully constructed bowls. Mine, on the other hand, are often made up of leftovers, while still following the basic principles of healthy eating.

In short, I try to recreate the Harvard Healthy Eating Plate for every meal: 50% vegetables and fruits, 25% whole grains, and 25% protein.

Sauces, gravies and condiments are just there to tickle the palate, but they don’t form a major component of the meal.

Keep your salt and oil low, and you can eat these in a million permutations and combinations. You really can’t go very wrong health-wise!

From a behavioural science perspective, values only become meaningful when they influence what we actually do.

Gandhi’s life reminds us that lasting change can begin with one person choosing to act from conviction, consistently.

One of the hardest things about moving forward is accepting that something can have been worth the investment once and still no longer be worth continuing.

I think we often confuse consistency with commitment. Sometimes, knowing when to reassess is just as important as knowing when to stay the course.

A useful reminder: you don’t have to keep paying for a decision just because you made it in the past.

I see this pattern quite often in coaching conversations.

Someone comes in feeling overwhelmed because there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

So we look at their calendar.

And quite often, the problem isn’t a lack of time. It’s how easily their time gets claimed by everyone else.

They say yes before checking their own priorities.

A question worth trying this week:

“Am I saying yes because this genuinely needs me, or because saying no feels uncomfortable?”

Sometimes, that’s where the real time-management problem begins.

We are always looking for entertainment from our food… even though we know we should just look at food as fuel. But who says we can’t have fun!

Rule of thumb: Water, black tea and coffee are some of the healthiest and lowest-empty-calorie drinks you can consume.

This is Pathimugam (shappan wood)- it’s made from the shavings of a tree and is a traditional drink in Kerala. Probably close to 0 calories, and it has shown some positive health findings… But I’m not relying on that. I’m going for the novelty and the pretty pink colour. Enough to give the brain a little dopamine hit!

We often think we are protecting our children by smoothing out every bump in the road, but over-involvement can quietly rob them of self-discovery.

When every decision is pre-empted and every mistake corrected before it lands, young people miss the vital chance to sit with their choices, build emotional stamina, and understand who they actually are.

Giving them room to stumble isn’t an absence of care; it’s an act of deep trust.

Where could you step back this week and let your child take the lead?

We are constantly shaped by what we experience.

A conversation can change how we see something. A relationship can change what we value. A difficult experience can change the way we respond.

And in the process of changing the world around us, we change too.

I find that noticing these shifts is an important part of personal growth. It gives us the chance to understand ourselves a little better and make more conscious choices about where we go next.

A well-rounded life is built through the choices we make every day.

Finding balance. Gaining clarity. Staying connected to your purpose. And creating a sense of fulfilment along the way.

Sometimes, it starts with simply pausing long enough to ask yourself: What matters to me right now?
