Not every patient with joint pain has Sandhigata Vata.
This is an important clinical reminder for Vaidyas: don’t diagnose the disease from the symptom alone.
When a patient presents with joint pain, go deeper into the history and timeline. Ask when the pain started, what preceded it, and whether there was a history of Jwara or another illness before the joint symptoms appeared.
In this reel, we discuss an important clinical perspective on differentiating such presentations and understanding the underlying pathology before deciding the treatment approach.
For a Vaidya, the symptom is only the starting point. The real work begins with understanding the patient.
