Back pain ≠ one remedy.

In clinical practice, I always look beyond the diagnosis and focus on the **characteristic pattern of pain.

⚡ Hypericum— when nerve pain and hypersensitivity dominate
🌿 Valeriana — when nervous excitability and changeability are prominent
🩻 Aesculus— when low-back/sacral pain is associated with weakness and congestion

The key is not to memorise a long list of remedies —
learn what makes one remedy different from another.

Save this for your OPD revision 📌

Which remedy would you add to this list for back pain?

[ back pain, lower back pain, back pain relief, sciatica pain, nerve pain, muscle pain, chronic pain, pain relief, back care, homeopathy, homeopathic treatment, natural healing, health tips, wellness, doctor tips ]

Homoeopaths, keep this in mind when dealing with female cases. 👩🏻‍⚕️

Our first choice is always totality —
Constitutional + Physical + Mental.

In chronic female cases, I also strongly believe we should explore the mental/emotional background and unresolved conflicts behind the case, because these can be important in understanding the patient as a whole and selecting the constitutional remedy.

But where does therapeutic prescribing have a major role?

1️⃣ Chronic disease + troublesome symptom
For example — a fibroid with heavy menstrual bleeding where the presenting symptom needs attention.

2️⃣ When acute symptomatic relief is needed
For example — managing dysmenorrhoea/pelvic pain associated with a chronic gynaecological condition.

3️⃣ When the case is still not responding despite correct prescribing
You've taken the case, worked on the totality, reviewed the remedy and modalities — but the expected response isn't coming.
Sometimes, as a supportive approach, a mother tincture or therapeutic remedy may be considered.

Because after all, patient health always comes first. 🤍

Therapeutic prescribing doesn't replace individualisation.
It's simply another tool in your clinical toolbox.

Now quickly type “FEMALE” 👇🏻
Maybe these therapeutic remedies can help you manage some troublesome symptoms in your female OPD.

Remedy select karna is only the beginning.
The real skill is knowing what to do after prescribing.

3 things I always consider before changing my prescription:

1️⃣ When to Repeat?
Clear improvement ke baad, same symptom picture return ho — don’t repeat blindly.

2️⃣ When to Increase Potency?
Same remedy is still clearly indicated, previous potency has shown a response, but the response is incomplete or short-lived.

3️⃣ *Remedy select karna is only the beginning.

2️⃣ When to Increase Potency?
Same remedy is still clearly indicated, previous potency has shown a response, but the response is incomplete or short-lived.

3️⃣ When to Switch the Remedy?
When the symptom picture genuinely changes and the previous remedy no longer covers the present totality.

Slow improvement ≠ automatically change the remedy.
No improvement ≠ automatically increase the potency.

Case ko samjho. Response ko observe karo.
Then decide what the prescription needs.

This is where clinical judgement matters more than simply remembering remedies.

Save this for your next follow-up case.

Pro Tip for Homoeopaths 👇🏻

Prescribing common remedies can definitely give you **quick short-term OPD results** — but Homoeopathy is not limited to a fixed list of “common remedies.”

There are multiple therapeutic approaches, and the key is **individualisation** — selecting the remedy according to the patient’s complete symptom picture.

That’s where true clinical prescribing begins. 🩺

Fever is not just about the temperature. 🌡️

The type of pain, modalities, periodicity, concomitants and associated symptoms** can completely change your remedy selection.

Eupatorium perf. → severe bone & joint pains
X-Ray → falling platelets + bleeding tendency
Myrica → fever with jaundice/liver picture
Chininum ars. → periodic fever + marked weakness
Cedron → marked periodicity + periodical headache

Don’t prescribe the diagnosis. Study the fever picture.

Save this for your clinical revision.
Comment **“FEVER”** if you want Part 2.
