A 34-year-old male visited my clinic with Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis). His main complaints included:
✔️ Severe itching between the toes
✔️ Foul foot odour
✔️ White, soggy patches between the toes
✔️ Symptoms present for over 2 months
Before consulting me, he had used multiple antifungal creams, which provided only temporary relief. However, the infection returned within a week of stopping the ointment.
Important individualizing symptoms:
• Very talkative (Loquacious)
• Could not tolerate tight clothing around the neck (unable to wear a tie or button the top collar)
• Felt irritated and frequently compared himself with coworkers who, despite working less, were paid more.
Based on the complete case analysis, Lachesis 200C/OD/15days was prescribed initially, followed by supportive management(xentene) for the next three months.
Outcome:
The patient showed gradual and consistent improvement. Treatment was started in November, and medicines were discontinued on 24 April after sustained recovery. At present, there has been no relapse.
Every patient is unique. Homeopathic prescriptions are based on an individual's physical and mental symptoms, not just the disease name. Self-medication is not recommended.
