Mallorca in August, in the middle of a heat wave. Not the plan, but it was the window that worked.

One total surprise was Ca’n Beneït, a quiet boutique hotel tucked into the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. I spent time chatting with the owner, who renovated this family property at the beginning of COVID, and you can feel just how personal it is.

We slept in, took an afternoon siesta, went for an 8pm swim and didn’t sit down to dinner until 10:30. Real summer vacation, where you completely lose track of the days.

I broke one of my own travel rules this year and went to Paris in August.

Loved the people I was with. Did not love the insane heat or the fact that half the city was closed for the month. 😅

These are exactly the things I steer my clients away from. Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make or break a trip. Some lessons I’ve learned the hard way, and others I’ve seen go wrong again and again.

Aman Rosa Alpina, tucked into the village of San Cassiano in Alta Badia.

This spot recently reopened under the Aman name, and it shows in every corner. Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, it evokes calm in every way with all wood-paneled walls, quiet lines, and windows facing the peaks.

Every piece is thoughtful, from the 3 Michelin-starred restaurant St. Hubertus to the spa that takes its inspiration from the mountain itself.

It was clear to see that this is going to be a highly sought after spot.

It’s official! I’m finally teaching Pilates in person in Lisbon!

Starting September 9th, I’ll be teaching a weekly Classical Pilates mat class at every Wednesday at 12:00.

If you’ve been wanting to try Pilates, get back into it, or just want to come move with me, come join us. We’re going to work hard, move, connect to the Pilates work—and have some fun while we’re doing it.
