At Kokora, we grow our turmeric on our regenerative organic farm in Costa Rica, where healthy soil, biodiversity & time all play a role in the 🌿quality 🌿of the final herb.
Here’s what we do on our farm to ensure we’re producing the most nourishing products!
🌱 Building Healthy Soil - A living, nutrient-rich soil ecosystem supports the growth of healthy plants.
We use no till practices, compost infused with bio-char, bio-ferments, mulching, compost tea folliar sprays, crop rotation, cover cropping to continuously regenerate the soil food web🧑🌾
🌿 Supporting Biodiversity - A diverse farm ecosystem helps create a more resilient growing environment.
⏳ Giving It Time - Our turmeric grows for around 9 months, giving the underground rhizomes time to mature before harvest.
