Robotic Surgery – Precision, preparation, and team effort in theatre.
Taking the first steps into robotic colorectal surgery in Sri Lanka wasn't just about bringing advanced technology into the room, it was about translating years of specialized training, simulation, and mentorship into a seamless recovery for our patient.
I am truly privileged to have executed this case alongside Dr. Sanjeev Samaranayake (Consultant GI Surgeon), Dr. Asitha Dissanayaka and Dr. Nalaka Nenaruwan (Consultant Anaesthetist), and Dr Ravi Diassanayaka (Senior Registrar) whose partnership in theatre was invaluable.
A special shout-out to the dedicated team at @ [Asiri Health] and @ [Technomedics International] for providing the platform enabling this level of pelvic precision.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රොබෝ තාක්ෂණය ආශ්‍රිත මහාන්ත්‍ර ශල්‍යකර්ම (Robotic Colorectal Surgery) වෙත පිවිසීම යනු නවීන තාක්ෂණය හඳුන්වා දීම පමණක් නොවේ; එය වසර ගණනාවක විශේෂඥ පුහුණුව, සමාකරණ අභ්‍යාස (simulation) සහ ගුරු උපදෙස් රෝගියාගේ සාර්ථක සුවපත්වීම වෙනුවෙන් යෙදවීමයි.
විශේෂඥ ශල්‍ය වෛද්‍ය සංජීව සමරනායක, විශේෂඥ නිර්වින්දන වෛද්‍ය අසිත දිසානායක සහ විශේෂඥ නිර්වින්දන වෛද්‍ය නාලක නෙනරුවන්, සහ වෛද්‍ය රවි දිසානායක යන මහත්වරුන් සමඟ එක්ව කටයුතු කිරීමට ලැබීම ගෞරවයක් වන අතර, ශල්‍යාගාරය තුළ ඔවුන්ගේ සහයෝගය අගය කරමි.
ආසිරි සර්ජිකල් රෝහලේ කැපවූ කණ්ඩායමටත්, මෙවැනි ඉහළ නිවැරදිතාවයක් සඳහා තාක්ෂණික පදනම සැපයූ Technomedics ආයතනයටත් මාගේ ස්තූතිය හිමිවේ.
නවීන තාක්ෂණයේ සාර්ථකත්වය රඳා පවතින්නේ පූර්ව සූදානම මතය. මට නිරන්තරයෙන් මඟ පෙන්වූ මහාචාර්ය නන්දදේව සමරසේකර, මහාචාර්ය ඉෂාන් ද සොයිසා (ශ්‍රී ලංකාව), වෛද්‍ය ජනීන්ද්‍ර වරුසවිතාරණ (එක්සත් රාජධානිය) සහ මහාචාර්ය Yoon Suk Lee (දකුණු කොරියාව) යන මහත්වරුන්ට මාගේ හදපිරි ප්‍රණාමය පුද කරමි.
