🌺 HAPPY NAVRATRI — DAY 3 🌺
Honouring Maa Chandraghanta | Courage with Grace
Today, we honour Maa Chandraghanta, the third form of Goddess Durga, associated with courage, strength, protection and serenity.
Her name comes from Chandra (moon) and Ghanta (bell), referring to the crescent moon adorning her forehead.
In the Navadurga tradition, she is worshipped as the powerful, warrior form of the Divine Mother — ready to face adversity while remaining composed and compassionate.
✨ The deeper meaning of Day 3
Maa Chandraghanta reminds us that true courage is not the absence of fear, but the strength to face it without losing our inner peace.
Her fierce appearance symbolises the readiness to confront injustice and overcome obstacles, while her peaceful expression reminds us that strength need not come from anger.
After grounding ourselves with Maa Shailaputri and cultivating discipline through Maa Brahmacharini, we now turn towards courage — the courage to stand up for ourselves, protect our peace and act with wisdom.
🌿 Today, reflect on these questions:
✨ Where in my life do I need to be more courageous?
✨ What am I ready to stop tolerating?
✨ Can I face my challenges without allowing fear to control me?
May we learn to be strong without becoming harsh, fearless without becoming reckless, and peaceful without surrendering our power.
🙏 TODAY'S MANTRA
ॐ देवी चन्द्रघण्टायै नमः॥
Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah
Meaning: Salutations to Goddess Chandraghanta.
Chant the mantra 108 times, or for as long as feels meaningful to you, with devotion and a calm mind.
May Maa Chandraghanta bless you and your loved ones with courage, protection, clarity and inner peace.
With Love & Light,
Anusha
