You are not afraid to speak up. You are afraid of what might happen when you do.
Have you ever kept quiet just to avoid an argument, being judged, scolded or rejected?
Sometimes, silence becomes a way of protecting yourself, especially when your feelings and opinions have been repeatedly dismissed or criticised.
You may become so used to keeping everyone happy that you begin to ignore your own feelings and needs.
But maintaining peace should not mean constantly sacrificing your emotional well-being.
You can love your parents without agreeing with everything they say.
You can love your partner and still have your own opinions.
Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. You matter, too. 🩷
🌿 In Part 2, we will explore how to begin speaking up and expressing yourself without abandoning your own needs.
