𝑫𝒓. 𝑩𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒋𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒚 and 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒎𝒖𝒈𝒂𝒎 represented OasisEye Specialists as international examiners for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London — 𝗙𝗥𝗖𝗢𝗽𝗵𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, held at St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, from 22nd to 24th October 2026.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists has maintained exceptionally high standards in postgraduate ophthalmology training for years, and the FRCOphth remains one of the most rigorous qualifications in the field. Being invited to examine candidates for it reflects the trust placed in OasisEye on an international platform.

During the congress, Dr Wilson Wong delivered two presentations:

We’re proud to share that 𝑫𝒓 𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒐𝒏𝒈 and 𝑫𝒓 𝑻𝒆𝒉 𝑾𝒆𝒆 𝑴𝒊𝒏 recently represented Malaysia at the 8th Bangladesh Vitreoretinal Society Conference, held in Dhaka from 25 to 26 October 2026.

Dr Fong delivered 3 talks, namely “Use of OCT for macula surgery”, “Gas and posture-free macula hole surgery” and “One-year real world results of faricimab for PCV”. He was also a panelist or chair for these sessions. Dr Fong was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bangladesh Vitreoretinal Society for his contributions to the growth and expansion of the vitreoretinal community in our region. He delivered his award lecture on the topic, “Subthreshold laser for macular diseases: 20 years of experience, and is it still required?”.

Dr Teh delivered 2 talks on “Pneumatic retinopexy” and “Macular hole retinal detachment surgery” and was among the jury for the Bangladesh Young Ophthalmologist Society (BYOS) session. It was very encouraging to see the quality of the presentation by the young and aspiring retinal surgeons from our Bangladeshi counterparts.

Gatherings like this bring together retina specialists from across the region to exchange knowledge, share clinical experience, and discuss the latest advances in vitreoretinal care. Taking part allows our doctors to contribute to the conversation while bringing fresh insights back to the patients we serve here at home.

An intumescent white cataract is more than just a cloudy lens. As the lens becomes swollen, pressure can build up within the capsular bag, making cataract surgery more challenging.

In this case, Dr Teh Wee Min shares how pre-operative YAG anterior capsulotomy was used to help decompress the swollen lens before cataract surgery.

Over two meaningful days, we connected with the Cambodian community, shared eye health information, and introduced the comprehensive eye care services and treatment options available at OasisEye Specialists.
