🌾 A HISTORIC DAY FOR ACHA (FONIO) IN NIGERIA! 🇳🇬

19 August 2026 — a day we will remember for a very long time.

Today, a dream that has taken years of hard work, persistence and unwavering belief took a major step towards reality.

Acha (Fonio) has officially been placed on the national map. The Federal Government has recognised the importance of Acha as a commodity crop, opening the door for greater attention, development and opportunities for the crop and the people whose livelihoods depend on it.

Another significant milestone was the adoption of the Association's constitution and the election of its Pioneer Executive Council, with our Co-Founder, Engr. Yunana Pam Tok, emerging as the President of the newly established National Acha Association of Nigeria.

This is more than an achievement for one organisation. It is a significant moment for farmers, processors, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and everyone who believes in the potential of Acha/Fonio.

At Pyeryat Foods, we are deeply proud to have been part of this journey. We have walked this path for a long time, believing that Acha deserves recognition, investment and the opportunity to take its rightful place among Nigeria's important agricultural commodities.

Today reminds us that hard work, persistence and purpose matter.
