Motherhood is beautiful, but let’s be honest: it can take a lot from a woman. ❤️

Your sleep may never be the same, your personal time may become limited, and sometimes, you may even struggle to recognise the woman you were before becoming a mother.

But mama, don’t lose yourself while taking care of everyone else. You deserve rest, love, support, and time to care for yourself, too.

A good mother is not one who sacrifices herself until nothing is left. A good mother is also a woman who remembers that she matters. 🥹❤️

Mama, which of these three has motherhood taken from you the most: your sleep, your time, or your old self?

Mummy, please don’t ignore yellow eyes or yellow skin in your newborn. 💛

Newborn jaundice happens when a substance called bilirubin builds up in the baby’s blood. It is common, but not every case is harmless.

Here are 5 things every mother should know:

1. Check your baby’s eyes and skin: Yellowing may start from the face and spread down the body.
2. Don’t wait for it to disappear: Your baby may need a bilirubin test to determine how serious it is.
3. Breastfeed frequently: Feed your baby 8–12 times in 24 hours, unless your healthcare provider advises otherwise.
4. Sunlight is not a treatment: Sunlight is not a safe or reliable treatment for newborn jaundice.
5. Seek medical attention early: Jaundice in the first 24 hours of life requires urgent assessment. Seek urgent care if your baby is difficult to wake, refuses to feed, develops a high-pitched cry, or has unusual body movements.

Some babies need phototherapy, a special light treatment that helps reduce bilirubin levels.

Please remember: Early treatment can prevent serious complications.

Mummy, if your baby’s eyes or skin turn yellow, contact a healthcare professional promptly. Don’t wait for the condition to worsen. 💛

5 things you should never tell your children, no matter how angry you are.

1. “You are useless!”
Your child is still learning. Correct their behaviour without making them feel worthless.
2. “I wish I never gave birth to you!”
These words can make a child feel unwanted and unloved.
3. “Why can’t you be like your brother or sister?”
Comparing children can create jealousy, resentment, and low self-esteem.
4. “Stop crying! You are too weak!”
Children need to learn how to manage their emotions, not feel ashamed of having them.
5. “I will leave you here if you don’t behave!”
Threatening to abandon your child can create fear and insecurity.

Remember: Your children may forget some of your punishments, but hurtful words can stay with them for a long time.

Correct your children with love. Discipline them without destroying their confidence. ❤️

1. Kissing your baby on the face or mouth. ❤️
It can spread infections, including cold sores.

2. Putting fingers or objects in your baby’s mouth.
They can carry germs or hurt your baby.

3. Giving your baby water, herbal mixtures, or other substances without medical advice.
Babies under six months usually need only breast milk or formula (if breast milk alone is not possible)

4. Shaking your baby, even as a joke.
Shaking can cause serious brain injury or death.

Mummy, remember: You have the right to set boundaries and protect your baby. ❤️
