🦵🏼 IF I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH JUMPER’S KNEE YESTERDAY, HERE’S EXACTLY WHAT I’D DO TODAY🦵🏼
I lost two years of basketball to this exact knee pain, so this is the order I’d follow if I had to start over 🏀
If you’re back in a league, playing pickup, or back on the volleyball court and the spot just below your kneecap is talking to you ⛹🏼♀️
1. Find what changed (more games, a new court, new shoes, more jumping) 👟
2. Calm it down with long, heavy holds ⏰
3. Check your ankle, calves and landing 🦵🏼
4. Rebuild with heavy, slow strength 🏋🏽♂️
5. Bring jumping back in steps 🤾🏽♂️
Not sure where you’re at? 🤔
Comment “KNEE” and I’ll send you the 3 tests I use to find what’s overloading a jumper’s knee: ankle mobility, single-leg calf raise, and a step-off-and-stick landing. 📥
