“Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.” — Antoine Lavoisier ⚛️ Everything changes. Nothing stays the same. In Tibetan Medicine, we believe we return to this material plane for three main reasons: hatred, attachment and ignorance. Today I want to talk about IGNORANCE. And no, ignorance doesn’t mean not knowing how to read or write. You can be highly educated, have degrees, multiple degrees or even a PhD… and still be ignorant. 🧠
The ignorance we talk about in Tibetan Medicine, Ayurveda and other Eastern traditions is mental ignorance: refusing to see, hear, understand or change. People who cling to their patterns because they are afraid of change, trapped in their comfort zone. They want to live inside their own bubble, refusing to accept reality. They may pretend to be flexible, but they aren’t. And interestingly, mental rigidity can also manifest physically: a rigid mind, a rigid body. Nothing flows. Nothing adapts. Nothing transforms. 🌀
