Today is World Mental Health Day. And across the world, in thousands of shops you’ll never hear about, something quietly important happens every single day.
Someone sits down. The cape goes on. And somewhere between the first snip and the last, the guard comes down. People tell their barber things they haven’t told anyone else all week. Not because they planned to, but because the chair is one of the last places you can just be honest, no appointment with a reason, no pressure, no judgement.
That makes barbers and stylists part of something bigger than grooming. The chair has quietly become one of the real safe havens left, and the people behind it are often the first to notice when someone isn’t okay.
That’s why we turned our Extreme Hold Matte Pomade orange. Every tin supports IASP (IASP) and their work in mental health and su***de prevention, so those conversations have somewhere to go beyond the chair.
To everyone behind a chair anywhere in the world: keep asking the second question. You matter more than you know.
And if you’re the one struggling right now, you’re not alone. Reaching out is a sign of strength.
Look good, do good. 🧡 Reuzel × IASP.
