The Nepal Health Corps teams from Gandaki Medical College, Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences, KIST Medical College, Lumbini Medical College, IOM Central Department of Public Health, and Modern Technical College came together, and in such a time of crisis, we supported with whatever we could by providing immediate relief goods to the people affected by the flood.
We focused completely on the actual needs assessed by the team on the ground. We put together essentials covering medical and hydration needs, health and hygiene support, and critical nutrition to address immediate relief efforts.
We dropped all these materials off at the Techspire College hub to hand them over to the team of Samaya Khadka, Suraj Pandey, and many more youth network of groups who have been working since day one. From here, the team will distribute them directly to the holding centres at Rasuwa to make sure they are used for that exact purpose.
We are just completely humbled to contribute our little piece.
Seeing everyone come together like this gives us so much hope.
The damage is immense, and we cannot truly fathom what the affected individuals are going through right now. The entire nation of Nepal is grieving, and we pray for the swift and active recovery of everyone impacted. To those who were lost, we pray they are reunited with their departed families, and we pay our deepest respects to all the souls we have lost. May our country find the strength to heal and rebuild soon.🇳🇵

Our hearts are with every family mourning a loved one, every person waiting for news, and every community trying to make sense of what has been lost. To everyone affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa and neighbouring districts, we stand with you. 🇳🇵
In the face of a tragedy like this, words will never feel like enough.💔
And solidarity must go beyond words.
If you are able to help, please consider supporting verified and credible relief fundraisers. If you come across information about someone who is missing or in need, look around for reliable leads, share responsibly, and help connect information with the right people. And in these uncertain moments, please do not spread unverified news, rumours, or images misinformation can cause further fear and pain for families already going through so much.
Check on the people around you. Stay alert. Stay safe. Help where you can.
Today, more than ever, may we remember that we are one another's strength.
With love, solidarity, and hope,
Nepal Health Corps - Gandaki Medical College Team

Nepal Health Corps Gandaki Medical College and Manipal College of Medical Sciences, with Ladies of Liberty Alliances, successfully conducted Project Empower Flow! 🌸
We hosted this impactful event at Bhaskar Memorial School-Fulbari. It was amazing to empower 150 girls from Grades 4-9. We turned awareness into action through a highly interactive health education program.
The workshop featured several engaging sessions:
* Menstrual hygiene awareness and myth-busting to encourage open conversations.
* A hands-on workshop for making reusable sanitary pads. Every student got to take their handmade pad home!
* A male volunteer demonstrated the correct use of a sanitary pad on underwear. This helps students feel confident seeking support from male parents or friends.
* Self-care awareness covering early breast self-examination and cervical cancer to break the stigma around our bodies.
Our goal goes beyond just educating students today. We want to build young leaders. We hope participants take this knowledge home to confidently teach their mothers and relatives. This focuses the impact on Aama Samuha too. By creating a supportive learning environment, we aim to reduce stigma and build confidence.
Together, we continue our commitment to creating healthier and empowered communities one step at a time. 💙
A heartfelt thank you to Ladies of Liberty Alliance () for your generous sponsorship and support. We also want to give a special thanks to the past ambassador at NHC MCOMS, .pandey.55, for this incredible opportunity. Thank you to .namunaexplains for guiding us along the way!

Our joint team from NHC-Gandaki Medical College and SOCHAI brought the "Sunaulo Jag: Poshan ko Pahilo Paila" ("Golden Foundation: The First Step of Nutrition") campaign to life, focusing heavily on our core mission: improving maternal and child nutrition during the crucial 'Golden 1000 Days. We dove deep into promoting the "Harek Bar, Khana Char" concept, proper breastfeeding practices, age-appropriate complementary feeding, and vital maternal health-seeking behaviors like ANC and PNC checkups. Instead of a boring lecture, it was a beautiful, human day of mutual learning where we busted health misconceptions through a lively Myth vs. Facts game, used colorful NutriBeads to make daily diets practical, and held an open experience-sharing session where mothers shared their own caregiving journeys. We even prepared a traditional 'Poshan Plate’ display focusing on balanced diet to showcase nutritious, indigenous foods! To make sure the impact lasts, we listened closely to everyone's immediate feedback, tailored practical lEC materials, and shared them with the community. A massive thank you to the Pokhara Metropolitan Ward 17 office, our incredible local health volunteers (FCHVs), and the wonderful mothers who showed up to build a healthier foundation for the next generation!🙌🏻

Nepal Health Corps - Gandaki Medical College
(NHC-GMC), in proud partnership with SOCHAl, is bringing a special health initiative to Pokhara Ward No. 17! ✨
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming community nutrition and maternal child health program; “सुनौलो जग: पोषणको पहिलो पाइला” (Golden Foundation: The First Step of Nutrition).
This program is entirely dedicated to the 'Golden 1000 Days, that incredibly crucial period from pregnancy up to a child's second birthday. We want to work hand-in-hand with our community to improve the nutritional status of both mothers and their little ones.
We're keeping things practical, visual, and engaging. Here's a sneak peek at what we'll be doing:
✨ Interactive sessions on "Harek bar, khana char" (eating from four food groups every meal) and proper breastfeeding practices.
✨Raising awareness on the importance of ANC, PNC, and safe institutional deliveries.
✨Fun, hands-on demonstrations using NutriBeads and learning how to prepare highly nutritious 'Sarbottam Pitho' at home.
✨ Showcasing healthy, locally available diets on a traditional ‘Poshan Nanglo'.
A healthy community starts at home, and we are calling all pregnant women, breastfeeding moms, mothers of children under two, and the wise senior women of families to join us!
Together with our amazing Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), let's take a strong step toward reducing maternal and infant mortality and building a healthier future for our ward.
📍Location: Pokhara Metropolitan City, Ward No. 17
🗓️Date: 2083/03/09 10:00 AM onwards
🤝Collaborators: Nepal Health Corps-Gandaki Medical College & SOCHAI & Pokhara Metropolitan City, Ward 17
See you there! Let's build a golden foundation together. 💛

And that's a wrap on Project Rajaswola!🌸🩸✨
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful conclusion than the incredible energy at our Menstrual Mela stall. Looking back at these glimpses from the day fills our hearts with so much pride and gratitude.
From seeing everyone's wholesome reactions to our "Maya" and “Mayra" care packages (stuffed with women's hygiene essentials and a little pampering magic💗), to the absolute
highlight of the day: the Courtyard drama! A massive shoutout to the amazing crowd that gathered around. Watching you all engage with our interactive play about menstrual hygiene and care was truly impactful. Breaking the stigma starts exactly like this; together, out in the open, through art and conversation.
To every single person who stopped by, asked questions, or simply shared a smile with us: thank you. Your support is what drives this initiative forward. We, Nepal Health Corps Gandaki Medical College and Nepal Health Corps Manipal College of Medical Sciences, want to extend a huge thank you to our initiative partners, our sponsoring partners, and our supporting partners for making this entire project possible. Project Rajaswola might be officially completed, but our dedication doesn't stop here. We are leaving this project more motivated than ever to keep showing up, raising awareness, and giving back to our community.
Here's to clean, healthy, and safe periods! Until our next initiative! 🙌🏻
