“You are exhausted… but You can’t stop Itching.”
If you have eczema, you may know exactly what this feels like.
The itching can become so intense at night that you scratch in your sleep, wake up repeatedly, and start the next day already exhausted.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Poor sleep can affect your energy, mood, concentration and overall wellbeing the following day.
Because eczema doesn’t just affect your skin.
Sometimes, it starts taking over your nights… and then your days.
So, what can you do to make nighttime eczema itching more manageable?
1. Keep yourself cool
Heat and sweating can make itching worse. Keep your bedroom comfortably cool and choose loose, breathable sleepwear made from fabrics such as cotton or linen.
2. Moisturise before bed
A suitable fragrance-free moisturiser can help support the skin barrier. Applying it after your evening bath or shower can be especially helpful.
3. Keep your shower lukewarm
That long, hot shower may feel comforting—but hot water can further dry and irritate already sensitive skin. Keep it lukewarm and gentle.
4. Keep your nails short
You may not be able to stop scratching when you’re half asleep. But keeping your nails short can help reduce the damage caused by scratching.
But here’s the important part…
If you’re doing all of this and still waking up night after night, perhaps the bigger question isn’t:
“What can I put on my eczema?”
It is:
“Why is my skin itching this much in the first place?”
Eczema can have multiple contributing factors and triggers. Your individual pattern matters.
And this is why, at Natural Skin Clinic, we believe in looking at eczema from the inside out—rather than focusing only on what is happening on the surface.
The goal is to understand the bigger picture and support healthier skin, better sleep and a better quality of life.
If eczema is keeping you awake, let’s look beyond the itch.
And if you’ve tried cream after cream, changed your skincare, avoided triggers—and your eczema still keeps coming back…
I’ve created something especially for you.
