Our busy kitchen serves delicious and nourishing meals that cater to our residents’ dietary requirements, even delivering to nearby neighbourhoods for our Meals on Wheels programme. We’d love to show you our home.

There’s a lot of care that goes into making Cambridge Life feel like home!

This Home Support Day, we’re giving a special shout-out to Ana Marie, Bryan, Della, Karen, Lanie, Marjorie, Mohammed, Rachel, Riya, Shalbin, Sharee and Valerie!

From freshly prepared meals and clean laundry to tidy rooms and well-maintained spaces, your work helps our residents enjoy the everyday comforts of home.

It’s not always the work that gets noticed first, but it’s certainly work that matters. Thank you for the time, effort and care you put into making each day a little easier and more comfortable for our Cambridge Life whānau.

A little country music, some friendly competition and a special day for our dads!

September was a busy one at Cambridge Life. We celebrated Father’s Day with morning tea, gifts and a bit of pampering, enjoyed familiar country tunes and singing along, and took time to recognise our Diversional and Recreational Therapists.

We also marked Māori Language Week, with plenty of games and activities throughout the month.

Celebrating Epiphany this Diversional & Recreational Therapy Day.

Epiphany has been with Cambridge Life since 2022 and is the facility’s Diversional Therapist.
She is a qualified Diversional Therapist in New Zealand and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Philippines, where she worked as a pharmacist before moving into aged care.
Epiphany brings a strong mix of healthcare knowledge, creativity, and people skills to her role. She takes pride in developing meaningful and enjoyable activities for her residents, with a focus on keeping them engaged and connected.

She also works closely with the wider team at Cambridge Life, recognising that good activities and resident wellbeing are a team effort. Her collaborative approach helps ensure activities complement the care and support residents receive across the facility.

On DRT Day, we recognise Epiphany for her contribution to Cambridge Life and thank her for the care, enthusiasm, and creativity she brings to our residents and team.

Sound Care Moments | August at Cambridge Life

Some of the loveliest moments this month came from giving a little back.

For Daffodil Day, our residents got busy baking chocolate chip cookies, lemon cupcakes and sausage rolls, then headed into Cambridge to share their homemade treats with the local community. It was especially lovely to be out giving back again something our residents hadn’t done for a while.

That same spirit carried through HCA Day, with residents preparing raffle gifts and sharing heartfelt words of thanks with the carers who support them each day.

Our Indian staff also brought everyone together for a colourful India Independence Day celebration with food, music, dancing and games. And B**r Day saw the return of a much-loved Happy Hour complete with music, a game of pool and a relaxing drink together.

Giving back, appreciating each other, sharing cultures and simply enjoying good company that was August at Cambridge Life.
