ONE SESSION. 12 WEEKS OF PROGRESS.

These photos show the progress from just ONE tattoo removal session, with 12 weeks between treatment and this progress photo.

Laser tattoo removal doesn't happen overnight. After treatment, your body needs time to gradually clear away the fragmented ink particles, which is why we leave a good amount of time between sessions to allow this process to happen.

The fading continues over the weeks following treatment.
Every tattoo responds differently.
Patience is key when it comes to tattoo removal!

Sometimes it's easy to think you need another session as soon as possible, but giving your body time to do its part is an important part of the process.

Ever wondered what happens immediately after a tattoo removal session?

These photos show the tattoo before treatment and immediately after the laser session.

You can see the white frosting that appears on the skin straight after treatment. But what exactly is it?

Frosting is a temporary whitening effect that occurs when the laser interacts with the tattoo ink and surrounding tissue. It's a normal, immediate response to laser treatment.

WILL THE TATTOO STAY LOOKING LIKE THIS?

No! The frosting will gradually settle, usually within minutes to hours. The tattoo will then look similar to how it did before treatment, although some redness or swelling may remain temporarily.

SO, WHEN DOES THE FADING START?

The fading process has only just begun

The laser breaks the tattoo pigment into smaller particles, which your body's natural processes gradually work to clear away over the following weeks and months.

This is why tattoo removal takes time, patience and multiple sessions. Results develop gradually between appointments rather than immediately after the laser treatment.

Every tattoo is different, and results depend on factors such as the ink, tattoo depth and your body's response.

Summer is coming, and if you're currently on your tattoo removal journey, this is your friendly reminder to protect your ink!

Wear SPF 50+ sunscreen on exposed skin and reapply regularly.

Cover your tattoo when possible with clothing to help protect the area from the sun.

Avoid sunburn and excessive tanning on the area being treated.

Please remember: Treatments cannot be carried out on sunburnt skin. Sun exposure can also affect whether your skin is suitable for treatment, so please let me know if the area has been exposed to the sun before your appointment.

If your skin is sunburnt, your session will need to be postponed until it has healed and your skin is suitable for treatment again.

We want to keep your skin safe while working towards those fresh-start results!

Protect your skin now to help keep your treatment journey on track.

This tattoo removal journey is a perfect example of why we don't rush the process

When this client first started, the plan was to lighten the tattoo enough for a cover-up

But after seeing how much it's faded, we've decided to allow more time between treatments and let the body continue doing its work and now we're getting so close that full removal is becoming a real possibility.

One of the most important parts of tattoo removal is giving your body enough time between sessions to naturally clear the ink particles broken down by the laser.

Sometimes, leaving a little longer between treatments can allow us to see just how much more fading is going to happen before deciding on the next step.

And that's the great thing about the process you don't have to decide your end goal on day one.

You can start with the goal of lightening for a cover-up and, as your tattoo fades, decide whether you'd rather continue towards complete removal.

â—Ź Trust the process.
â—Ź Be patient with your body.
â—Ź Let your options evolve as your tattoo fades.

Is your tattoo looking a little blurry around the edges?

You might be dealing with what's known as tattoo blowout (or ink spread).

This happens when ink travels slightly beneath the skin, creating a soft, blurred or shadowed appearance around the tattoo.

The good news? In many cases, it can be improved with targeted laser treatment.

Rather than removing the entire tattoo, we can focus on the unwanted blurred areas to help sharpen the edges while preserving the design you love.

Every tattoo is different, so if you're unsure whether laser can help, send through a clear photo and we'll happily talk you through your options.

Small tattoo, big journey

Finger tattoos can be some of the more stubborn areas to treat, which is why patience and consistency are so important.
