🚨 **IS YOUR AED STILL SAFE TO RELY ON?** ❤️⚡
Today I visited a small community group that had an older AED — a model that has now been **discontinued**.
What concerned me even more is that there are still people selling **non-genuine replacement parts** for some of these older machines.
⚠️ **When someone's life depends on an AED, this isn't the time to take a gamble.**
Non-genuine pads or batteries may not perform as intended, and there is **no guarantee they will work when you need them most**.
If your AED is getting close to — or is **over — 8 years old**, it may be time to seriously consider replacing it.
At **Heart Starter NZ**, we supply the **ZOLL AED 3**, designed to give you confidence that your AED is ready when the worst happens.
❤️ **8-year warranty**
🔋 **Battery life up to 5 years**
⚡ **Pads last up to 5 years**
📲 **Online monitoring portal**
🛠️ No need to pay someone to come and manually certify your AED every year — our online monitoring system helps us keep an eye on your unit and its readiness.
And when you look at the cost over five years, it works out at around **$2.40 a day**.
That's less than the price of a coffee. ☕️
But here's the real question...
**Can you put a price on someone's life?** ❤️
An AED isn't something you buy because you *expect* to use it.
You buy it because **one day, someone might need it.**
Don't wait until your AED is obsolete, unsupported or sitting there with questionable replacement parts.

👉 If it's getting old, talk to us about your options.
👉 Make sure your community, workplace, club or organisation is prepared to **save a life when every second counts.**
