Who We Are

Roslyn Pharmacy is a busy community pharmacy, located in the heart of Roslyn, Dunedin. My wife Amy and I, Andy Hou, were fortunate enough to be able to buy it in 2005, off Blair Coghill who had been the Pharmacy owner for 41 years. And we have not looked back…. We are a pharmacy passionate about the health and wellbeing of our community and it is our pleasure to be able to offer our customers the very best in what we do. We bring together the best pharmacy and natural health products in a one-stop shop. We promote a healthy lifestyle and try to engage our staff to do the same. We want you to have the most complete and comprehensive shopping experience possible whilst being able to access credible advice. One of the Pharmacy’s greatest strengths is its fully trained staff and the easy access to fully trained health professionals. Here at Roslyn Pharmacy, we have this covered with six fantastic Pharmacists, one Natural Health Consultant/Registered Nurse, one qualified Beauty Therapist, six Pharmacy Technicians and three Retail Specialists - all of whom are fully trained to the current NZ standard. Something different is happening at Roslyn Pharmacy from 2 June.

As we head into another busy winter season, we are incredibly excited to bring to our community some super handy new services!

We're not talking about cash and wrap medicines. We're talking about a proper sit-down consultation with your pharmacist - where we assess what's going on, build a full treatment plan, and give you everything you need right there on the spot.
That means a proper consultation, treatment where appropriate, advice on preventing it coming back, and clear guidance on when to escalate to a GP.

From 2 June we can help with:

Kids under 14: All the daycare and kindy “greatest hits” : head lice, conjunctivitis, scabies, vomiting & diarrhoea, acute pain & fever

UTIs: A full course of Antibiotics to treat the condition - come in at the first sign, before it gets worse

Emergency contraception: free for eligible patients

These are funded services — costs are reduced for eligible patients, and we'll always be upfront about any charges before we start.

We want to bring the best of healthcare to the people who need it, sooner. We believe that this is what community care should look like.
