Hi, we’re Coralcone 🙋🏻‍♀️ a NZ-made menstrual cup created by a diver & designer, born out of frustration with old-school design.

Customisable & actually comfortable. We’re done with shame, leaks & landfill. 🐚🌊
This is a period cup that actually works!

Coralcone menstrual cups can hold up to 3x more than a Super tampon and don't absorb water, so no bloating, no tampon fatigue and no surfacing early to change out. 🤿

Empty, rinse, reinsert, back in the ocean.

Coralcone. Made for the water.

Who knew years of managing global teams would lead me here? 👩🏻‍🏫

This week I ran a workshop day for the Business South Emerging Leadership Academy in Dunedin.

Building Coralcone from an idea to customers around the world taught me how much early support matters.

So I love sharing what I've learned, especially with female and minority founders, where the barriers to success and access to capital are that much higher.

I had a blast. Thanks Business-South for having me!

Your cervix isn’t in the same spot every day of your cycle 📈📉

That’s why Coralcone’s soft, detachable, flexible stem is a total game changer, it moves with your body (𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘧, 𝘫𝘢𝘣𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴) and lets you customise your fit. 🥰

✨ High cervix? Keep the stem on for extra reach.

✨ Medium or low? Tuck it up or take it off completely!

✨ New to cups? Think of it like training wheels ~ start with it on, experiment over a few cycles, and see what feels right before cutting it too short and regretting it later ✂️😭

Because your cup should adapt to you, not the other way around!

Started this morning having a coffee with a few local female founders – some deep in the trenches, others just starting to dream something up.

There's nothing like a room where women can speak casually and freely from their own experience. 💡☕

I'm building a product for women, but what equally matters to me is supporting other women building amazing businesses and products from our point of view. 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏿

Thank you to Ministry of Awesome Startup Dunedin for having me. 🙏🏽

Here's to waking up with less panic and fewer surprises 🛌🏽🩸

02/09/2026

Up to 15,000 disposable pads and tampons. That's one person, over 40 years of menstruating 🩸– most of it outliving us all by centuries.

The good news?
Our community has already kept 18+ tonnes of it out of the ocean (that's the weight of 12 standard cars). 🌊

Be prepared like Danya 🩸👜

Keep a Coralcone menstrual cup in your handbag, your gym bag, your office desk drawers.

Because your period shows up when she wants to.
And you'll never get caught off guard.

Startup founders doing whatever it takes to keep the dream alive. 😅🎬📽️

20/07/2026

I just spent the weekend in Christchurch at Momentum Programme Aotearoa Kotahi '26 – student committees from all over Aotearoa syncing brains for 48 hours. 🧠🚀

I got asked to join the Otago team earlier this year and it’s been a constant source of inspiration since.

This weekend: startup ecosystems → foreign investment policy → global conflict → simulation theory. Sometimes in the same breath.

As an WFH founder who usually has to actively seek out IRL conversation, I was completely out of words by midday Sunday. 😮‍💨

Highlight: meeting two Master of Design students from Massey University — my old stomping ground 👩🏻‍🎓.

Ruby designed an adaptive swimming prosthesis for lower-limb amputees, inspired by her own mum. Megan created an upper-body supportive garment for people who've had a unilateral mastectomy without reconstruction.

Both projects came from the same place:
close, careful attention to bodies the mainstream design world routinely overlooks. That's what impact-driven, female-founded design looks like when it's done well. 💡✨

If New Zealand's business leaders aren't actively tapping into this wildly diverse cross-section of talent, disciplinary range, and sheer problem-solving ability, they're not just missing an opportunity – they're missing the people already building the country's next chapter.

Grateful to be even a small part of it. 🙏🏽
