Tūporeariki – Holding Space, Standing Together
So incredibly proud of our Tūporeariki team. ❤️
At the 2026 International Gathering to Dismantle the Doctrine of Christian Discovery in Rotorua, led by Tina Ngata, our team brought Mahi a Atua principles and the creative expressions of Rangiparauri into this important kaupapa.
Every person in this photo gave their own time to be there. They came with a commitment to manaaki, to listen, to wānanga, and to hold space for others.
Grounded in Mahi a Atua, our team created opportunities for people to sit with difficult questions, uncertainty, discomfort and the enduring impacts of colonisation, without rushing to resolve what needed time, reflection and collective understanding.
They worked tirelessly to support the attendees, the gathering’s organising crew, and one another. Often quietly, always with generosity and a deep commitment to the kaupapa.
What makes me most proud is not simply what they did, but how they showed up for each other and for others.
This is Mahi a Atua in action. This is Tūporeariki.
