Iâm back from a beautiful long weekend staying with a friend, and one thing I noticed was how differently I listen to my body when the usual distractions arenât around.
At home I have a habit of going to bed way too late. I tell myself âjust one more episode of this podcastâ or âjust a teeny bit more workâ, and before I know it a few hours or more have disappeared⌠đ
While I was away though, with no book or screens (or instruments!) calling my name, I felt tired around 8:30pm and happily trotted off to bed, slept for ten hours, and woke feeling so well rested.
Iâd get that same âtime for bedâ signal at home, but kept finding reasons to ignore it. Being away, there was room to listen - and it felt so good.
Maybe thereâs something your bodyâs been telling you for a while too, or a nudge waiting for you to hear it.
This is the space I create in Space to Breathe. An hour of sound and stillness, with a short guided meditation to help you settle, and room to hear yourself again.
Sessions start this Sunday in Auckland so come and join me â¨
