Feeling unwell? Pop into Carterton Pharmacy for a funded consultation 💚

We offer Extended Pharmacy Services. If you or your child are eligible, you can see one of our Pharmacists for a funded consultation, with no GP appointment needed. We’ll assess what’s going on, talk through treatment options, and refer you on if you need further care.

For children under 14:
✔️ Pain and fever
✔️ Dehydration (oral rehydration)
✔️ Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
✔️ Minor skin infections (bacterial or fungal)
✔️ Mild dermatitis
✔️ Oral thrush
✔️ Head lice and scabies (whānau members can be treated too)

For women:
✔️ Emergency contraception
✔️ Oral contraception
✔️ Urinary tract infections (ages 16-65)
✔️ Vaginal thrush

What it costs:
Consultations carry a small co-payment of up to $5 with a Community Services Card or up to $20 without. Emergency contraception consultations have no co-payment.

How it works:

🔒 Consultations take place instore or in our private consultation room
🩺 If you need more care, we’ll point you to the right place

You’ll need to be eligible for publicly funded health services in New Zealand. Let us know if you have a community services card.
