A little behind-the-brand reality check… 🫣
When you’re building a business, it’s easy to plan for growth, launches, and big milestones. But you can never plan for your health completely pulling the rug out from under you.
Navigating a severe endometriosis flare-up and subsequent surgery while trying to keep MiTru running has easily been the hardest chapter of my entrepreneurial journey so far. There is no corporate safety net when you’re self-employed. If you don’t show up, the work simply doesn’t get done.
Even though I had to manage the vast majority of the mental and physical load straight from my bed while healing, I quickly realised I wasn’t actually alone.
To the incredible friends who stepped in physically to pack boxes and handle logistics when my body couldn’t - thank you.
And to this entire community: every single order, kind DM, comment, and share during this time was the literal fuel that kept me pushing forward. You didn’t just keep my spirits up; you kept this brand alive.
I’ve never been more grateful to have you all in MiTru’s corner. 🤍
P.S. To my fellow founders or anyone balancing a dream with chronic illness or unexpected hurdles - how do you manage to protect your health while showing up for your goals? Let’s chat in the comments 👇
