Sold x

For the days when everyone wants a piece of you, here’s a peace of the earth to keep for yourself.

This beautiful chunk of polished shungite (130 grams) makes the perfect thumb stone, with a smooth curve to run your thumb across while you take a breath, let the day settle and bring your energy back into your body.

Shungite is highly valued in energy work for grounding, spiritual and energetic protection, and I love the simplicity of having something solid and ancient to hold when life is stirring the waters. Keep it in your pocket, beside your desk or within reach when you need a moment to come back to yourself. Then under your pillow for that overnight protection.

Part of my remaining Certified Shungite collection, waiting for its next pair of hands. Message me for price and availability.
I will be posting specials over the next few days as I work through the remaining stock.

Begging the Powerless

There is something spiritually absurd about begging the powerless to approve of you, especially when the only power they have over your life is the power you keep handing them.

I’ve written about this before, but it deserves another visit, because we can understand it perfectly and still find ourselves explaining our intentions, shrinking our gifts or waiting for one person to finally recognise what we bring.

By powerless, I mean they have no authority over your soul, your connection to Source or the work you came here to do. Yet we give them the deciding vote, then sit there wondering why we feel so depleted.

You can feel the energetic cost of it when you walk into a room knowing yourself and leave questioning everything because someone raised an eyebrow.

Your attention has gone straight into their response, and suddenly their opinion is receiving more devotion than your own knowing.

Some people will only approve of the version of you that keeps them comfortable, and you could spend the rest of your life maintaining that arrangement. An expensive little hobby, considering what you came here to do.

Spiritual authority asks us to honour the guidance we receive, take responsibility for our choices and allow other people to have their reactions without making those reactions our instructions.

You can listen, learn and reconsider while remaining firmly in your own keeping. There is wisdom in being teachable, and there is a world of difference between considering someone’s opinion and asking them to authorise your existence.

Your connection to Source requires your attention. Every hour spent pleading to be recognised by someone determined to withhold their approval is an hour of your life given to that pursuit.

Bring your energy home, put it into what you came here to create, and let them have their eyebrows.

Your soul has work to do.

If you smell the smoke, there is a fire.

One of the most expensive things we learn to do is explain away what we sense, especially when acknowledging it would mean changing something we desperately want to keep.

We feel the shift in a room, hear the warmth disappear from a voice, notice that someone’s words and actions seem to belong to two entirely different people, and then spend an extraordinary amount of energy finding a more comfortable explanation.

Perhaps they’re tired or perhaps we misunderstood. Perhaps if we become a little more accommodating, the uneasy feeling will go away.

I have spent years working with people who can describe the exact moment they first knew something was wrong, followed by the months or years they spent talking themselves out of it. But what really stays with me is how often they needed someone else to give them permission to take their own experience seriously.

For me, intuition is a reason to pay attention, ask a clear question and look at what follows.

You can honour what you sense while allowing the truth to reveal itself... you can also get up from the table while you’re still working out what’s burning.

We teach people to develop their intuition, yet to me at least the far more interesting question is whether you are willing to act on what you discover.

Because smelling the smoke is one thing.

Admitting that it’s coming from something you love takes a whole different and more difficult sort of courage.

I feel there is always something sacred in the way we choose to meet the day, in standing under that shower, putting on clothes we feel good in, opening the door to the morning air and remembering that we have a life to participate in.

For me, dignity belongs here, in the care we give to being alive.

It asks us to honour the spirit within us through the ordinary things we do with our hands, our words, our bodies and our time.

We can spend years searching for spiritual understanding and still find ourselves being brought back to the simplest things: tend to your home, speak with care, keep your word, nourish yourself and give the people you love your full attention.

I return to Source, and the question I bring with me is.... how shall I use the life I have been given?

The answer asks something of me. An apology I owe, a habit I need to release, something beautiful waiting to be created, or the courage to step back into life after a season that took way more than I thought I had.

There are days when caring for ourselves takes an enormous effort, and on those days even the smallest act deserves tenderness.

Brush your hair, take that walk, sit in the sunshine and let yourself feel that you belong here.

Your spirit has a home in you. Give it somewhere lovingly tended to live.

Why is it easier to share our struggles than our strengths

Three people suggested I keep this image off Facebook. So naturally, here we are 😂

It’s obviously AI-generated, using my photograph and elements of my work, my books, my oils, my healing, and my first reaction was that it was beautiful, followed fairly quickly by, “Can I really post a picture of myself looking like that?”

I’m usually considerably less grand, surrounded by things that need doing, with a cup of tea going cold somewhere.

But that hesitation interested me.

In my work I meet people who can talk so comfortably about their mistakes and struggles and where they feel they have gone wrong, yet feel embarrassed acknowledging something they’ve created or allowing themselves a little pride in how far they’ve come.

I recognise that feeling myself.

I’m sharing this because it made me smile, and because 3 people told me not to.. lol.. and because I’m curious about where appreciation becomes embarrassment when we’re the person being appreciated.

How comfortable are you in letting someone see you in a generous light?
Something worth a moments pondering don't you think?

When a book about reclaiming your ancient power finds its way to the Acropolis, it feels as though the work has travelled back to meet its ancestors.

The people who built these temples understood the power of the unseen world, the spoken word, intention, ritual, symbol and the relationship between human beings and the greater forces around them.

They worked with energy as something real, influential and woven through everyday life.

The work within Claim the Throne carries those ancient roots into the lives we are living now.

It teaches us how to recognise where we have given away our authority, how our energy becomes entangled with people and experiences, and how to use the practices within these pages to change what we are carrying and begin directing our lives again.

Since the book was released, clients and readers from all over the world have been telling me about the most extraordinary shifts.

Some have used a single practice and felt an immediate change; others have finally moved something they had understood and worked on for years, yet had never been able to fully release.

These principles have endured because they work.

The ancients knew far more about human energy, consciousness and personal power than we have been encouraged to remember.

Perhaps Claim the Throne was always meant to find its way back here.
