24 hours on a plane from Brisbane to the UK – and worth every minute! ✈️🇬🇧

We've just wrapped up an action-packed week onboarding our new UK distributor, Newlyn Healthcare , based in Widnes. Here's what we got up to:

✅ Trained the Newlyn assessor and service teams on the Kera sit2sit

✅ Ran in-service education sessions with therapists in Barrow-in-Furness and Warrington

✅ Held a therapist demo in Chorley

✅ Completed two assessments with two wonderful young girls (aged 4 and 9) in Barrow – seeing Kera make transfers easier for them and their families is exactly why we do this 💙

✅ Exhibited at the OTAC expo at Aintree, Liverpool

A huge thank you to the Newlyn Healthcare team for the warm welcome, and to every therapist, family and visitor who came to see Kera in action.

Kera sit2sit is now available across the UK through Newlyn Healthcare – get in touch with them to book a demo or assessment.

A lot of families want to understand what actually happens in a home demo?

We bring the Kera to you, at a time that suits. We run the transfer through once, then the caregiver does it themselves with us right there, in the real bathroom, the real bedroom, the real doorways. No pressure and no cost to look. If it doesn't work, you'll know straight away.

That's the whole point of a demo. You find out in your own space, not from a brochure.

Want to see one? Get in touch, or ask your OT for a free demo.

"I'm coming."

"No you're not!"

Typical siblings! We're very grateful to be able to provide Odin's family with a Kera that helps normal life (like travel) become achievable again.

Alex sat down with Avenues magazine to talk about our ambition to make life safer, easier, and more independent for wheelchair users and those who care for them.

Alex O'Keefe shared why the mission is personal for him. With his younger sister being a wheelchair user, Alex knows the impact of finding a better solution can be profound.

HT has always been customer led in its development. When a customer asked how they could take their Kera on holiday, the answer became the Kera Travel.

"We're just listening and turning people's ideas into actions."

If there is a trip you have parked because the transfers looked impossible, get in touch.

Odin is 6 years old, has muscular dystrophy, and gets heavier every month. His mum is the one who moves him.

"It's not hurting my wrist. He's heavy now. It's really a straightforward thing."

One caregiver, no standing, and it packs down and travels. The family can take it to the Philippines.

If you have or know of a family in a similar situation, ask us about a free home demo.

For most people, getting out of bed is something they never have to think about.

Mark Williams thinks about it every morning. He's been recognised for the work he does filling his property with Matariki light displays and he's our National Sales Manager. Every day starts in the same way, with the first transfer.

"For me, it is the first step that makes everything else possible."

Odin is 6, and he has decided that his hoist is a wrestling arena.

His WWE figures have a royal rumble along the armrests while he waits his turn. Then it lifts him out of his chair, and every time, without being asked, he announces the same thing: "I'm Superman."

He has muscular dystrophy, and needs help moving from his wheelchair to the couch or the bed. This has become difficult for his petite mother. Enter the Kera transfer hoist, the thing that saves his mother's back and makes visits to grandma's house possible again.

In July, Seven Sharp told the story of our National Sales Manager, Mark Williams.

Friends and family had nominated him for ASB Good as Gold, and he won it, for the Christmas and Matariki light displays he builds for his community every year.

The cameras captured the lights, but Mark explains that the real story starts much earlier each morning.

"Before I can light up my community, I first need the freedom to begin my day."

Every day starts with getting out of bed and into his wheelchair. That first transfer is what makes the rest of the day possible.

"The Kera gives me the freedom to start each day safely, comfortably and with dignity. It also gives me the confidence to travel, visit customers, source products, attend exhibitions, and continue developing ideas that improve people's lives."

Lots of parents ask us the same thing: what happens when lifting stops being possible?

For one family it meant grandma's house came off the list. A 6-year-old, a mum who couldn't safely lift him, and no in-between option.

The Kera moves a child between two seated positions with one caregiver. No standing, feet off the ground, held the whole way. A visit to Grandma's is back on.

If transfers are getting harder for your child or your young client, ask us about a home demo.
