You didn’t come to coaching to stay comfortable.
You came because something isn’t working the way you want it to.
And sometimes, getting the result you want requires stepping just outside what feels familiar.
That’s where the learning zone begins.
It can feel a little uncomfortable.
You might be asked a question that makes you stop and really think.
You might notice a pattern you hadn’t recognised before.
You might be challenged to look at a situation from a completely different perspective.
You might even hear something you weren’t expecting to hear.
That doesn’t necessarily mean something has gone wrong.
Sometimes, discomfort is simply the feeling of learning, changing and growing.
Real growth rarely happens when we remain entirely within what we already know.
The important part is that the discomfort is temporary and purposeful.
You stretch.
You learn.
You take different action.
You begin to see different results.
And those results can create the things you actually came looking for:
More clarity.
More confidence.
More freedom.
More fulfilment.
More happiness.
Coaching isn’t about making you uncomfortable for the sake of it.
It’s about creating a safe enough space for you to explore the things that may be uncomfortable because they matter.
So perhaps the question isn’t:
“Was that question confronting?”
Perhaps the better question is:
“Am I willing to experience a tiny bit of temporary discomfort if it helps me create the result I came here for?”
Because sometimes the thing that feels uncomfortable today is the very thing that helps you create a life that feels better tomorrow.
Are you ready to step outside your comfort zone?
Let’s grow. 🌱
