Heeeey, when it comes to working with hypermobility or core strength - external feedback devices are a great tool, because sometimes cues don't quite hit the mark. For example 'engage the core' is a useless cue if they have no idea how to actually position themselves to do that.
Using something to help with balance, stability, coordination, pressure and posture can do so much to assist you or your client with slowing things down, and really feel the thing.
I love these spikey balls from The Warehouse because they stick really well to clothing and skin, they are super versatile, bounce well, but the spikes also like you know if pressure is too much in some cases. Plus I have had most of mine for over 10 years and even laying on them or standing on them 99% of them are still going strong, and for many of us, it needs a bit of a reminder.
Feedback isn't just correcting stuff or saying good job, it's having something you can focus on so you can feel the muscles working where you are meant to be targeting, or they can help you stay in the right position, it's about helping that good old brain body connection.
Other great feedback things are walls, bands, yoga blocks, towels, rollers, Jenga pieces (iykyk), upside down cones.....the list goes on.
