On August 11, 2026, the Municipality of Bakun officially launched the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) to protect our children from measles and rubella.

👧👦 Target: All children 6–59 months old are encouraged to receive the MR vaccine.

🗓️ Watch out for the MR SIA schedule in your respective barangays. For questions, please approach your barangay midwives or nurses.

Mr. Michael Galipen discussed key topics on voluntary blood donation, COVID-19, and deworming, while Mr. Darwin Simsim shared valuable information on HIV/AIDS and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) in Emergencies.

🔹 Get at least 8 hours of sleep the night before your donation.

Ligtas, Epektibo, at Walang Bayad (Libre): Maaaring ibigay ang bakuna bilang karagdaggang proteksyon, basta may 4 na linggong agwat mula sa huling Measles-containing vaccine ng inyong anak. Kasama rin dito ang pamamahagi ng Vitamin A Supplementation para sa mga batang edad 6–59 na buwan upang maiwasan ang pagkabulag at palakasin ang resistensya.

Paalala sa mga Magulang: Dalhin ang mga bata sa pinakamalapit na vaccination site at 𝗵𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱.

Makipag-ugnayan sa Inyong Barangay: Para sa eksaktong iskedyul at lokasyon, direktang makipag-ugnayan sa inyong mga lokal na Barangay Health Workers.

Huwag nating hayaang mapahamak ang ating mga katuwang sa buhay mula sa mga nakakahawang sakit na dulot ng virus na ito. Protektahan natin ang kanilang kinabukasan!

July 6, 2026 | During the Municipal Flag Ceremony, Municipal Nutritionist Hilaria Gabriel conducted a Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) session, presenting an overview of the 2026 Nutrition Month celebration, with the theme, Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan. This was followed by the recitation of the 2026 Nutrition Month Pledge by all municipal employees.

Dr. Krizyl Saguibal also facilitated an SBCC session on the importance of voluntary blood donation, highlighting its vital role in saving lives and promoting community health.
