Some stories deserve to be told. This is ours. We didn’t start with a grand business plan. We started with what we had, a willingness to learn, and a love for creating something of our own.

From those small beginnings in 2012 to the products we continue to make today, our journey has never been a straight line. There were setbacks, breakthroughs, seasons of uncertainty, and moments that reminded us why we started in the first place. Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Not because the journey was perfect, but because we kept going.

not-so-fun fact: we actually spotted a shampoo bar being sold online that contains lye. 😳 Let's just say that what's good for your body isn't automatically the best choice for hair!

Last night, we finally took a breather and celebrated Azon’s birthday as well! It’s been a season of heavy lifting...not just for the business, but personally.

After my cancer diagnosis, it was really difficult to keep my team's spirits up. We’ve had to make some tough calls lately, like skipping our Christmas party last year because it was more important to ensure everyone received their 13th-month pay and that we saved up for business permits and taxes.

Through all the stress and the hard work, this team has stayed strong for me and for Mayumi Organics. This night of fun was so well-deserved and so needed.

I am holding onto the hope that after my surgery, we can do this again and celebrate many more milestones together. Thank you for staying with us and supporting us even while we’ve been quiet on social media.

Your kindness is the fuel that keeps us going. 🙏

BTW, I’ve decided not to cover my head anymore. To be honest, I’ve felt insecure because I look so different from how I used to. But I want to live my life more than I want to worry about vanity. This is me, right now, and I’m proud to be here.
